“Warrior Powers, I will leave you to oversee the prisoners. Once I have Faith settled in the human medic facility, I will come to the holding area to question.”
Powers nodded and said, “I’m glad that Faith will be all right.”
“Me too.” He walked toward the trucks with their lights still shining. Once he took care of the mess with these tribes and dome, he was planning to take his Faith to his home world and care for her as she deserved. His mother would dote on her and love her as if she were her own daughter. Faith deserved that, and so much more.

Logan growled low with frustration. After he was assured of Faith’s safety, he reluctantly had left Faith in the medical facility under the care of Medic Haggard and guarded by his warriors. There was nothing he could do for her while she was being treated for her injuries and would be notified if there were any changes to her well-being.
His commander needed answers that only Logan was trusted to find. He demanded to be taken to the holding facility to question the three humans they had captured.
Dome Leader Winstead stood in front of the door to the holding facility with arms crossed over his chest. “You have no right to demand to see my prisoners!”
Logan stood surrounded by five human soldiers with their weapons drawn. He raised an eyebrow. “Are you interfering with a sanctioned investigation approved by your military leaders and President?”
Winstead gulped. “I have sent a report to my leaders that you have tried to undermine my authority from day one. Once that report is read, I will remove you and your warriors from my dome!”
“You will stand down now!” a new voice demanded.
Everyone turned to watch as ten well-armed human soldiers and five Drastan warriors approached. Leading the charge was an older human male that looked familiar. The new human walked up to Logan.
“Captain Coor. You may not remember me, but we met briefly when I visited my daughters on board the Drastan warship. I’m Brigadier General David James.”
Ah yes. This male’s daughters were mated to two Drastan warriors—Commander Estro’s sons. This male met with briefly with warriors on board to give insight on humans and what they had undergone. At the time, he was a Lt. Colonel.
“Congratulations on your promotion.”
“Thank you. The president sent me to assist you with whatever you need.”
“I appreciate it. I have not been given access to the prisoners.”
Brigadier General James narrowed his eyes at Winstead. “Why are you blocking Captain Coor’s investigation sanctioned by the President of the United States?”
“I… Sir… there’s been a mistake,” Winstead stuttered.
“The mistake was putting you in charge of this dome. That can and will be remedied.” Brigadier General motioned for two of the new human soldiers to move forward toward Winstead. Once Winstead was escorted out of the area, Brigadier General James turned to Logan.
“Are you ready to question the prisoners?”
“Yes, Sir.”
Several hours later, Logan headed toward the medical facility anxious to see his mate. The interrogation went better than expected. Waller was not easy to get information from, but his cohorts were all too eager to give up information to save themselves.
There was a movement underground to attempt to take over domes and remove the aliens from the planet. It wasn’t well planned but it was enough of a threat that his commanders and the earth president would provide reinforcements. It took a little more time to uncover the two more leaks with the dome’s communications team. They tried to flee the dome but were caught before they reached the level connecting to the subway tunnels.
No more weapons would be provided to the domes at this time and every effort will be made to recover the ones that were taken. Logan wasn’t sure how long his presence would be needed here, but he would do his duty for his people as long as he had his mate by his side.
