The colonel waved his hand toward them. “They’re not taking the tour currently. Please have the refreshments delivered to my office.”

“Right away, sir,” the female said. She stood there waiting for the colonel to introduce them, but he walked into his office. Logan did not like how the male dismissed the female, so he took it upon himself to make introductions.

“I’m Captain Logan Coor.”

“Hi, Captain Coor. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Mary Halston, personal assistant to Colonel Winstead.”

“Nice to meet you, Mrs. Halston.”

“Call me Mary.” She blushed.

“Mary, these are the members of my team, Warriors Lake, Powers, and Marque. Medic Haggard is here to view your medical facility.”

“Nice to meet you, gentlemen.”

The warriors each greeted the female. She was pretty with blond hair and blue eyes.

“Gentlemen, we have a debrief to get through,” the colonel said with irritation from his doorway.

“I’ll bring the refreshments in as soon as they arrive,” Mary said.

“Thank you for your assistance, Mary. Could you have someone take the Drastan doctor to your hospital?”

“Of course. Right away.”

The colonel had already left. It was clear the man took her and others for granted expecting orders to be followed without asking or thanking them. Logan didn’t have respect for ungrateful people, no matter their position or title. He suspected there were more issues going on in this dome than the theft they were investigating. One thing at a time. He had to focus on his current mission.
