“They won’t have much of a choice since they have few males of their own.”
“It will still be their choice.”
“Okay, that will have to work itself out later. What do you need from me to ensure that we get the Morins’ attention?”
“I haven’t completely figured that out yet. Do you have any ideas?”
“Perhaps we could move our transport closer to the Balar planet so that it appears that we lost interest in the Morinians.”
“Yes, but we need to make sure that they notice the Morinian transport. Make it so that they can’t ignore them.”
“How in Kitana are we supposed to do that?”
LemAN gave his friend a look. “I think I know what we have to do, but it will all depend on whether the Morinians agree to it.”

Hours later
LemAN entered his quarters and noted that a small light globe on the bedside table was lowly lit, illuminating Teagan’s sleeping form in the bed. She was wearing one of his shirts and a pair of underclothing. She was curled up on her side and had kicked the covers off.
After quickly removing his clothes, he walked over to the bed and climbed in. He pulled her body to his, wrapping himself around her protectively. He inhaled her scent and released the tension in his body. Nothing smelled as good as Teagan.
“LemAN,” she whispered, snuggling closer to him.
“Shhh…go back to sleep.”
“I missed you.”
“Goddess knows how I missed you, too. Sleep, honey. You are exhausted.”
She yawned then fell asleep again. He was amazed by her trust in him, the ease with which she believed in him and that he would protect her. He swore he would do whatever it took to make sure she never regretted placing that trust in him.
Closing his eyes, he tried to ignore his body’s response to her. That was difficult. Merely the thought of her had him responding, but holding her, feeling her soft curves against his hard body, was a temptation that he didn’t want to ignore. He took a deep breath and released it slowly. He repeated the same action over and over until finally he succumbed to sleep.
