I moan into the kiss. Somewhere in the back of mind, I hear the door opening.

“Oh wow. Glad to see y’all are finally giving into this thing,” Presley says, shutting the door, “So, I think I will take you up on that apartment, T.”

Tate snorts. “Uh, you got it.”

I climb off his lap as gracefully as possible while my cheeks flame. I’ve never been caught like that even as a teenager. Tate chuckles at my embarrassment.

“Don’t worry. Presley is the last person you should be embarrassed in front of.”

“Damn straight. I’m a man eater.” She holds her hand up and pretends to claw the air. I can’t help laughing at Tate’s groan.

“I don’t need to hear that, P.”

“Oh, stop. She just caught me on your lap, I think it’s fine if she embarrasses you back a little.” I say laying my head on his shoulder.

“I’m just happy y’all are finally together, for real.” She says with a shrug, just as the boys appear in the room. Hudson’s face lights up and he stops in his tracks. Matty bumps into his back with a quietoomph.

He looks up from the game in his hands and stands beside Hudson, who’s grin is slowly growing on his face. My heart feels like it’s going to beat out of my chest as their eyes bounce between us.

“Who’s together?” Hudson says, not looking away. Matty looks to us his eyebrows shooting to his hairline.

Tate’s hand lands on my knee, giving a reassuring squeeze. I get it. He’s letting me decide what I’m ready for.

“Why don’t you guys come in here for a second?” I say working to keep my voice from even.

Chapter 39- Tate

Alli is practically shaking with nerves as the boys sit down. I wish I could reassure her, but I remember how Hudson had narrowed his eyes on me that first day. He’s a protective little thing. I think it’s safe to say he’s come around now.

Alli wrings her hands together and I gather them both in one of mine. Alli opens her mouth to speak more than once and closes it. I decided to take the pressure off her.

“I guess there’s no dancing around it… We’re together.” I hold breath as I wait for them to react. I feel Alli next to me, doing the same.

“Wait…” Matty’s hand goes to Hudson’s shoulder, “So you like-like each other?”

“Yes. We do. We might be spending more time together…” I pause looking between them, “Is that… okay with y’all?”

“Are you serious?” Hudson asks incredulously before tilting his head back, clenching his fists like he just scored a goal and shouts, “Finally!”

Alli glances at me in confusion. My brows pull together when Matty joins in with a “Yes! We did it!”

“Did what?” Alli asks with a relieved laugh.

“We got you two together! Duh!” Hudson exclaims and they high five. “So, we could be brothers.”

“Well, I’m glad to know I had backup all along.” I chuckle and wrap my arm around Alli’s shoulders, pulling her to me. She relaxes against me instantly and lays her head over on me. Matty and Hudson wear matching grins. The joy on their faces makes my chest want to explode with pride. This just became everything.

“I actually got you something...” Alli says, turning to me a shy smile dancing on her lips. “I’ll have to go get it really quick.”

I follow her to the door and grab her wrist.

“I’m not letting you get far. Not when I’ve wanted you so bad, and now I’ve got you.” I say next to her ear, not missing the shiver that racks through her almost violently. A smirk pulls at my lips.

“It’s just next door. In my closet.” She says taking a step back. I don’t let go.

“I’ll come too,” I say before asking over my shoulder, “P? You good to hang out with the boys for a bit?”

“Of course! I love hanging out with my nephews! Take your time but we will be ordering pizza on you!” She calls back without looking away from the playstation game that Hudson and Mattyhave set up. Hudson groans at the screen when she jumps up at cheers. “Ha! In your face!”
