She points out the window again, fluttering her long eyelashes and pouting out her lips. “Plus, I’m on the verge of hitting that scary level of hungry, so if I were you, I’d pull the car over, Greyson.”

I flip my blinker on. “Well, you should have started with that.” She slaps my chest, and we both laugh as the light turns green and I pull into the restaurant’s parking lot.

We walk in and take a seat at one of the empty booths. I’m actually surprised by how many people are here right now since it’s almost 10:00 at night. It’s not super full, but there are still quite a lot of patrons.

We grab the menus that are up in a rack on the table and browse through our options when an elderly waitress by the name of Debbie comes over to greet us. “How’s the lovely couple doing tonight?”

“Oh, we’re just fabulous. We’re celebrating my birthday and just finished a day-long scavenger hunt,” Emma tells her enthusiastically. I don’t know why, but it’s always fascinated me how Bunny talks to strangers as if they’re old-time friends catching up.

“Well, aren’t you lucky to have such a fine young man taking good care of you,” Debbie says with a chuckle as she looks me over.

Em sighs and places her elbows on the table, resting her head between her hands. Her gaze falls to mine with a dreamy look in her eyes as they gleam. “I really am. He’s the best.”

A full smile blooms on my face. She’s so freaking adorable. I place my arm above the table, stretching my hand out to her. She removes one of hers from her cheek, and takes my hand as our eyes lock on one another.

All I see is her, and all she sees is me.

“Ahhh, young love. There’s something so magical about it.” We both turn to Debbie, who regards us with adoration.

Emma instantly blushes, just realizing our waitress was still there. I offer Emma a wink, then turn back to Debbie when she speaks up again. “So what can I get you guys?” She pulls out a notepad and pen from her waist apron and readies herself to take our order.

Bunny and I both look down at the menus, scanning them quickly. “Oh my God! Wolf! They have milkshakes!”

I chuckle and shake my head at her excitement. It’s like she’s never seen a milkshake before.I love this about Bunny.

The girl is rich beyond belief, she knows everything and anything about everyone. Has all the latest fashion pieces and a closet probably worth more than my house. Yet eating in a rundown diner with a $5 milkshake excites her.

I turn back to Debbie with a smile. “We’ll have a burger and fries each, with a strawberry milkshake for the lovely lady and a chocolate one for me. Thank you.”

Em smiles and claps her hands repeatedly, practically bouncing in her seat.God, I’ll need a full-day workout after all this junk food.

It doesn’t take long for our food and drinks to arrive, and the instant they hit the table, we plow through them. We don’t talk much, as we’re too busy devouring our food. It isn’t until I’ve cleared my plate and Emma’s leftovers that one of us talks.

“Greyson?”

I look up at my gorgeous girlfriend while drinking the rest of my milkshake. “Hm?”

“Will you fuck me in the ass tonight?” she asks with the straightest face I’ve ever seen.

The question catches me off guard. My liquid drink explodes from my mouth, flying all over as I fall into a coughing fit, choking on the swallow I was about to take.

I smack my chest repeatedly while Bunny just sits there calmly watching me. When I finally manage to drag in some air, I fold my arms over the table and drop my head into them, needing a moment to collect myself.

“Jesus fucking Christ, Emma!” I say, against the table.

“What?” She sounds completely clueless.

I lift my head and stare at her in disbelief. “You can’t just say things like that out loud as if we’re talking about the fucking weather!” I whisper shout. I’m not angry, just completely flabbergasted that she would say it like that.

“Why not?” She furrows her brows in confusion.

“Because we don’t need the whole restaurant knowing what our plans for the night are!”

“Oh…” She blinks a few times, then a heavenly smile blooms over her lips. “So is that a yes?”

“Wait, you’re serious?” I straighten in my seat.I honestly thought she was just messing around.

“Well, yeah.” She frowns again.
