It doesn’t take long for my pants to become unsteady as my walls begin to quiver against his sensational length. My muscles tighten around him, thighs shaking, my breath getting shallower with every thrust.
“Grey…”
“Come for me, Bunny.”
And I do. My mouth opens wider as I cry out. My arms around his neck squeeze tighter, bringing him closer to me. I seal my lips to his, needing to feel him everywhere as our moans travel from mine to his and back. His cock grows thicker, pulsating against my walls before I feel his warm cum shooting up inside of me as I milk every last drop from his body.
My body goes slack in his arms once I finally come down from the euphoric experience of a lifetime.I’ve never made love before. And I wouldn’t have wanted it with anyone else.
I feel his legs shaking as he tries to support our weight after the mind-blowing orgasm we just had, and I don’t blame him for struggling. I unwrap mine from his waist and step onto the tiled floor, still using the wall as support. After a few well-neededminutes to gather ourselves, Greyson begins to lather up my body with soap, washing both of us clean.
When he’s done, he dries us off and carries me to bed, laying me down, then climbing in beside me. He settles on his back and tugs me into his side, my head resting on his chest. His hand behind me plays with my hair while the other folds behind his head.
“Did you know Gracie’s name means blessing?” he says in the quiet of the night.
I shift my head to look up at him but don’t say anything immediately.Where’s this coming from?
“Silas was telling the guys why he named his son Dante. It made me wonder what hers meant, so I looked it up. Pretty fitting, don’t you think?” He chuckles, but there are emotions lacing his subtle laugh.
I nod against him. “Nadia had told me that Stephanie gave her that name because that’s what Gracie was to her. I think it’s perfect for Little Tulip.”
“I might not have wanted children before Gracie, and it might be cruel to say, but I’m glad things turned out the way they did…” he murmurs, still stroking my hair while lost in thought. “She’s my blessing, the most unexpected one I could have asked for. She turned me into a better man without me even noticing.”
“You were always a good man, Greyson. You just hid it well.” My fingers come up to caress his beard.
His chin dips down, eyes catching mine with a soft, loving smile. “Do you know what your name means?”
I furrow my brow, racking my brain but coming up empty. I shake my head as best as I can while still pressed against his firm chest.
“It means universe.” He smiles again. “Gracie may be my unexpected blessing. But you, Emma, you unexpectedly became my universe.”
Tears well in my eyes as his hand leaves the back of his head and brushes against my cheek. I push up, climb above him, and kiss him like he holds my last breath that I’m in desperate need of.
The man of my dreams made love to me for the second time that night. And all I kept thinking about was how perfect our life is, how perfect our love is. Unable to believe that this is my fairytale. The one I’ve been dreaming about since I was a little girl, living in a big old soulless mansion.
But I’m not stupid, I know how fairytales work. I know they don’t come without heartache. And I know when it happens, it will destroy us. I just hope we’re strong enough to rebuild those broken pieces. Together.
Chapter thirty-five
Emma
Sunflower…
~ Two Days Later ~
My phone rings just as I set it down beside the coffee machine. I look at the screen, and a name I wasn’t expecting shows up.Claudia.They said they wanted to be more involved with Gracie, and we were happy about that. I just didn’t expect them to try so soon. I guess I’m just too used to broken promises when it comes to parents.
I pick up the device tentatively, placing it to my ear as I answer the call. “Hello?”
“Hi, Emma? This is Claudia… We met at Gracie’s birthday party. I’m her…” She seems hesitant to call herself grandmother, so I finish for her.
“Her grandmother, yes. I remember you. How are you?”
“I’m doing well, dear. I had some free time today, and I was wondering if I could see Gracie. I feel like with everyone at the party, it was hard to really get to know her, and I’d really like to. If the offer still stands, of course. I don’t want to intrude if I’m not welcome. I would understand if you have changed your mind.” I can sense the worry and honesty in her voice.
“Of course, we really just want what’s best for Gracie. And I think having you and Simon in her life is part of that. Did you have something in mind?” I question, biting my lip. I know I should probably ask Greyson first, but he’s told me before how happy he was that they’re taking an initiative to be in her life.
“I could come to you, if that’s all right?”
