I grab it from her, and we head out, holding the ultrasounds close to my heart, still not believing the news we got.

The next weekend, we are at the ice rink. Mel put together a gender-reveal party for the whole hockey team. Everyone is here to support us.
Mikey and Kai have their skates on, but both wear shirts that say “I’m the dad.” I laugh and shake my head because they have been wearing nonstop dad stuff since the appointment.
“Okay, everyone, get on the ice. Mikey and Kai, do you have your sticks?” Mel is in full party-planner mode, barking orders and putting people in their place.
I’m standing at the edge of the ice, not wanting to get on, because I know I will fall and bust my ass.
Mikey and Kai both skate up to me and hold a hand out. I take my first step and slip, but they catch me.
“How do you do this?” I grumble, taking baby steps to get to the center of the ice.
“Baby, we have been skating since we were old enough to walk. Sometimes skating is easier than walking for us.” Kai smiles at me before he scoops me up into his arms and skates me to the center of the ice. “Don’t you dare drop me!” I smack his chest.
“Baby, I would never drop you.” He sets me on my feet, but helps me stay steady.
I turn around and see Mel trying to get on the ice next. As soon as she takes a step on the ice, her feet come out from under her, and Luca is there to catch her fall.
I look up at Mikey and Kai, who both have shit-eating grins on their faces. Because they're thinking the same thing I am. These two are fighting it too hard.
Luca scoops up Mel and sets her in the center of the ice next to me, and she thanks him with a death glare.
“Okay, now that we are all here, and not flat on our asses. Here you go.” She pulls out two pucks from her pockets and hands one to each of the twins. One puck has an A on it, and one has a B.
“What are the A and B for?” Kai looks at me, confused.
“To know the difference between the babies. They call them baby A and baby B.” I explain.
He looks down at his puck and smiles, “HA, I got baby A!” Kai skates off holding up his stick like he just scored a goal.
“Get your ass back over here, Monroe,” Mel barks at him. He comes back and stops fast, spraying snow on her.
“I will get you back for that!” she growls, and Kai just smiles, and the whole team bursts into laughter.
“Okay, assholes, set the pucks down gently, and when you hit them, the color that comes out will be the gender.”
Kai and Mikey both set their pucks down,

They both swing, and blue powder explodes from both of them! Mikey and Kai both skate around and scream.
Holy fuck, I am having boys!
My emotions are everywhere; I don’t know if I am happy or scared. Probably a lot of both.
