"Why do you need to read hockey smut when you are living it in real life?" Kai wags his eyebrow.
"Because sometimes I like to live through someone else's reality instead of my own." I flip the page and continue reading.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we’ve reached our destination. We will begin our descent and be on the ground in approximately fifteen minutes. Please ensure your seatbelts are fastened." The pilot says, and I try to look out the window over Mel's head, but she is purposely blocking me.
Kai leans forward and grabs my hand. "I promise, baby, you will know soon what's going on, but this surprise is important to Mikey and me, so please just be patient with us." I lean in and give him my best smile.
"I am not a patient person."
"Oh, trust me, we can tell." I scrunch my eyebrows at him and glare.
"But you will be patient whether you like it or not." Kai then smiles.
"I don't like you two teaming up against me. This is fucking bullshit." I huff.
"Okay, sassy pants. We are here, so surprise is over." Mikey says as soon as we feel the wheels touch the ground.
We exit the plane, and an SUV is waiting for us. Two men in suits are loading up our luggage.
When I turn around, Mikey, Kai, and Mel are staring at me, like I am supposed to be caught on by now.
"I am too tired to deal with your bullshit," I grumble, and get into the SUV.
"You know, usually people would ask where we are at," Mel says as she scootches in next to me, followed by Kai. Mikey gets in the passenger seat, and Luca starts up the SUV.
"Well, I know you ass-holes won't tell me, so why bother?" I lay my head on the window, and the airport starts to disappear, and the Vegas strip starts to light up.
"Why are we in Vegas?" I ask. Kai and Mikey smile at me, again hiding something from me.
"We have something to show you," Mikey says. I raise a brow, not buying what he is saying.
We keep driving, and I subconsciously start rubbing my stomach. I can see a little bump now, but it looks like I have just eaten one too many tacos.
I have never been to Vegas, so I have no clue which hotel we are pulling up to. I just know it's fucking huge. Mikey gets out of the car and opens my door for me, as everyone else follows us. Luca tosses the keys to the valet.
Kai walks up to the front desk and talks with a beautiful blonde lady, who is obviously flirting with him. I feel the jealousy show its face. Then Kai says something, and she turns to look at me, her face dropping. I give a little wave to piss her off more and grab onto Mikey, making my claim known.
When Kai gets a couple of key cards, he walks back to us, cheesing hard at me. "That was fun."
"What was?" I scowl.
"Turning down a woman because I am no longer single." I blink at him, confused.
"What do you mean?" I say.
"Well, knowing that you are ours, you are carrying our child, I would say that I am off the market, wouldn't you?" He questions me. I smile at him and reach up to grab his cheek and kiss him hard on the lips.
"I love you." The words slip out before I can stop them.
"I love you too." Kai bends down and kisses me again.
I then turn to Mikey, who looks like he just won the lottery. "I love you, Mikey."
He picks me up and spins me around. "I love you too, princess.” When he sets me down, he grabs my face and kisses me.
"Okay, love birds, give me my key. I'll meet you in an hour." Luca goes to grab the key, and Kai pulls it back...
"Soooo there was a problem." He gives a sheepish smile to Luca.
