"I'll help you," I relent, looking both of them in the eye. I'm pleased to see the hope and happiness bloom in their eyes. No malice or odd glint to make me question their motives.
"Thank—"
I cut Nate off. "On one condition. I'll be there the whole time."
Ellis butts in, sounding offended once again. "We won't hurt her."
I raise a brow that saysyou already have, and he looks away. "While that might be true, Violet needs me too. I walked away the other day at the restaurant, and you triggered Violet."
"It wasn't intentional," Ellis protests, but it's weak.
"Exactly," I confirm. "You definitely know more about the woman Violet was seven years ago, but I know her now. I was sidelined and only offered a window into who she is, but believe me when I tell you I know more about who she is, what she needs, and what might send her running."
They share a look, then nod at me. Nate adds something important that I wholeheartedly agree with. "Ifshe asks you to leave, you'll respect her choice to be alone with us."
I smile, feeling our dominant energies swirling around each other in an attempt to coexist. It's hot not knowing who might top in different scenarios. And now my dick is hard. Fuck.
"I think he liked your demanding tone, babe," Ellis teases, eyeing me. Groaning, I roll my eyes and watch as Ellis prowls toward me so damn slowly. There's plenty of time for me to stop him, yet I don't. Something about his bratty, teasing, ridiculously sassy attention drives me crazy in a good way. Especially after he opened up about his feelings, I'm feeling incredibly attracted to him right now.
My dick twitches, and his eyes immediately drop to the rising tent in my towel as he rounds the island. Stealing a quick glance at Nate, I see he's resting his elbows on the counter and his dark eyes are filled with lust.
Ellis' large hand sliding around my waist brings my focus back to him. His smile slips as he presses his crotch against mine. Eyes heating, his challenge melts into need. But I'm not doing shit for him right now. Not until he fixes things with Violet.
"Not so funny now, huh?" I taunt, voice thick with need and the desire to bend him over and show him who's in charge.
Click.
"Jamie! I'm here! Oh."
Violet.
