Colton leaned in to kiss his mate, “Love you too. Are you hungry? My brothers have been here again and brought us dinner.”
“Wow! How can they do that? Aren’t we far from the house? I ran for a long time.”
“Did you ever see a fence?”
“Yeah, I did.”
“What did you do then?”
“I turned and went in another direction.”
“Well, you ended up half way between the house and the fence, so my brothers are using the ATV to bring up the food and other necessities. They want to give us some alone time and Cody thought this was a good opportunity.”
“But shouldn’t we get back to Jackson and Daniel?”
“No, Cody left a note telling me Jackson and Daniel are fine, Mystia is staying with them.”
“Good. I bet everyone is spoiling Daniel. He’s so adorable!”
Laughter exploded from Colton, “That’s an understatement if there ever was one. I bet Daniel won’t know he has a bed until he’s at least two years old.”
“I know,” Ian said, with a little wistfulness showing.
Colton heard it. “Babe, did you ever want a baby?”
“I never thought about it before, since as far as I knew, I was a gay Gamma wolf. Then Oracle told me I was an Omega wolf and I realized I could have pups. I guess that’s why my wolf was so insistent I have a mate.”
“Babe, you could be pregnant now since we haven’t used any protection. How do you feel about the possibility of having our own pup?”
Ian was quiet for a minute. Then he said, “I would love it. I know it would be a problem with us both in medicine and the crazy hours that can happen, but the thought of our own pup makes me very happy. How about you?”
Do I want pups? Wow! Really wasn’t on my radar…hmm.“Yes, I do,” Colton said, somewhat shocked to find out he did.
“I guess by the tone of your voice, you never thought about it either.”
“No, not really…well, maybe when we found out about Jackson being an Alpha/Omega. But I was always focused on joining Frontline Doctors and having a mate wasn’t in my plans at all.”
“Do you regret finding me?”
“Oh no, babe,” Colton murmured in Ian’s ear, giving it a lick and a kiss, “You are the best thing to happen to me and finding out we can have a family is like having a hot fudge ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top.”
Chuckling, Ian said, “You are comparing our pups to a cherry?”
“You know what I mean. Just knowing I can have pups with you, the love of my life, is amazing. Babe, just think,this time next year, our pup could be playing with his cousin. Unfuckingbelievable!”
“Uh-huh, you better start watching your language.”
Colton roared with laughter. “You and Jackson joining up? Good luck with that…even Jackson has trouble controlling his mouth and don’t get me started on his use of the middle finger. But you go ahead, I want to see how you plan to make my brothers clean up their language.”
Swatting at his mate’s chest, Ian said, “You’re going to set the example for them to follow.”
“Oh babe, really? Don’t you think Steel should lead the way? After all, his pup was born first.”
Ian tweaked his mate’s nipples as he said, “Maybe. I’ll talk to Jackson. Anyway, I think it should come from our Alpha.”
Groaning, Colton said, “I’m stopping before I dig myself a deeper hole. Are you hungry? Our dinner awaits.”
Rolling over and getting extricated from the pile of bedding, Ian said, “I’m starving. But first, did your brothers bring any clothes for me? It’s getting chilly.”
