“They have a team on standby in case we need them,” Alexis added. “And they're searching for our guy through camera feeds.”

“Did anyone find out who that building belongs to?” I asked as I went back to the couch. “I know he was too smart to leave any trace of his identity for us to find, but there must be records he can't get at.”

“They've been wiped,” Alexis said.

“What?” I gaped at her. “Already?”

“This guy is brilliant,” Alex said. “Those pearls must have turned him into a hacker.”

“We have a team searching through records as well,” Hunter Kyung-soo said. “The online database has been cleaned, but there might be paper copies.”

“Either way, he slipped up,” Alex said. “There were several cameras that caught him leaving the building in Songwol-dong. They were private security cameras, not hooked up to the internet so he couldn't hack into them.”

“You got a picture of him?” I asked eagerly.

“We've got a few.” Alexis pulled a folder out of her bag and handed it over.

Everyone gathered around the coffee table as I resumed my seat and opened the folder. There were three shots of a Korean man headed down a sidewalk, dark against the bright murals of Songwol-dong. Other people were in the shots as well, but there was only one man in all the shots, and he stood out against the cheerful visitors. Two pictures were side views of him and one was from the front. He had a pinched look to him, but that could have been because he was afraid of getting caught. No, wait. The side views were of him leaning against a wall.

“Why is he relaxed here? Why didn't he fly away?” I murmured.

“Oh, he did,” Alex said. “But then he returned.”

“What?” I looked up.

“This shot was taken earlier, before it got really busy.” Alex tapped the photo where we can see the man's face. “You see how there are only a few couples around him? And yet he's alone. That already looked suspicious, but it wasn't enough to confirm who he was. Except then, he disappears.”

“What do you mean?”

“The camera feeds we searched had no sign of him for several minutes. Then this.” He tapped one of the profile shots where the man was leaning against the wall. “That's right across the rainbow steps.”

“He was waiting for us.” I looked at the hunters. “Watching us, just as we thought. He blended in with the crowd and waited for us, then followed us here.”

“Yes, but the good news is that with a shot of his face, we may be able to find his identity through facial recognition software,” Alexis said. Then she grimaced. “If he hasn't cleaned all traces of himself online.”

“Either way, we can search camera feeds in real-time for him,” Alex said. “It shouldn't be long before we find him.”

“Did you send a copy of these to the Fairy Council?” I asked.

The twins looked at each other.

“Come on, people!” I growled. “We've worked together on several missions already. And this is technically their mission. The hunters have the extinguishment order.”

“Sorry,” Alex said.

“We forgot,” Alexis added.

“I've got it handled.” Hunter Do-hun took pictures of the photographs with his phone. “Sent. Now we can provide his picture to all the fey in the area.”

“And we can patrol with a target in mind,” Killian added. “Let's get out there!”

“Finish your breakfast first, Ambassador,” Hunter Mi-cha said.

Killian rolled up a pancake and shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

Mi-cha gaped at him.

“Let's go!” Kill said around his mouthful.
