“Oh, Henry,” I said with a wince. “I guess you could, but then you'd have to stay invisible.”
“No, he wouldn't,” Sever said.
“What? Why not?”
“He's an Angel, Seren. We can all transform. Cherubim have their natural forms like all of us, but they can also be—”
Henry shimmered and suddenly, a young man was standing before me. He had a mop of blond curls, big brown eyes, and a, well, a cherubic face. He was also naked.
“Oh, come on!” Killian held up a hand. “Enough with the naked time. Go on. Get out. I'll get you some clothes.” He motioned Henry out the door while I gaped after him.
The laughter of my husband and children brought me out of my daze.
“Henry is old!” Shahzy declared.
“He's young for a Cherubim but much older than you,” Sever said.
“I'm going to make a few trips,” I murmured. “Sever, I'll take you over with the carriage and Miri first, then we can come back for the others.”
“All right.” Sever grabbed the carriage with one hand and wrapped his free arm around Miri.
Then I wrapped myself around them both from behind and laruked us to a fake fairy tale village in Incheon.
Chapter Nineteen
It only took two trips. I brought Cat over next, holding her in much the same way as I had Sever, while Sever had the kids, Henry, and Killian hold hands so he could laruk them together. The children were disappointed to arrive in the shambles of the searched building, but then we went down the rainbow stairs to the village, and they squealed in delight. Even Henry.
All our guards and even the hunters smiled at that. Hell, even Medea grinned as she watched the kids run about, going from sight to sight, demanding their picture be taken. We explored little shops, bought sweet drinks in cartoon cups, and generally had a fantastic time. The locals were enamored of us. With my handsome husbands, beautiful children, enormous dog, and Henry, they couldn't get enough. They stopped us to ask to take pictures—something that shocked the hunters.
“Ah. I understand now,” Hunter Do-hun said later in the day, while we were sitting down on a bench with Peter Pan, eating ice cream and drinking hot chocolate.
Yes, it was cold. Very cold. But it was always a good time for ice cream and the hot chocolate made it all right.
“What's that?” I asked.
“They think you're American movie stars,” he said. “I just heard one of them say Angelina Jolie.”
“They think I'm Angelina Jolie?” I asked with a grin.
“They could have meant Alexis,” Alex said.
“Oh. Right.” I deflated. “I can see that.”
“They must have meant Alexis. You're far too beautiful to be mistaken for Angelina,” Daxon scoffed.
“They're not sure,” Hunter Mi-cha said. “But with all the kids, they're guessing.”
“And she's not with Brad anymore, so you guys could be her new boyfriends,” I said. “She's eccentric enough to have multiple.”
“You look more like Gal Gadot,” Killian said. “But you're prettier than her too.”
“Aw, I love you guys,” I said to my husbands, then licked my ice cream.
Daxon stared at my mouth like a starving man. And it wasn't the ice cream he was hungry for.
“In a little while, babe,” I whispered to him.
“Thank Danu,” he whispered back.
