“He's really gained that much knowledge?” Tiernan asked.

“Yes,” Killian and Alexis answered together.

“Let's give them some space to work,” Raza said and waved toward the stairs.

“I'll stay,” I said.

“Go with them, babe,” Kill said. “This is going to take a while, and I have Alexis.”

“What if you both go into a trance?”

“At the same time?” He lifted his brows. “Doubtful. And the worst that can happen is we fall to the floor.”

“And usually, it's a slow fall,” Alexis said.

I grimaced. “I don't like leaving you alone.”

Killian pulled me in for a quick kiss. “I love you too. Go on. I'll be fine.”

So, I went upstairs with the others. The guards were spread around the house, both outside and in, and the hunters were searching the rooms. There was nothing else to do but assist in the search.

We tore that house apart. Top to bottom. We even pulled up the floorboards and thumped on the walls. There was no clueas to where the man might go next. We had three psychics, not including myself, and a building full of things our target had touched. Yet, none of them got anything helpful. Oh, they saw a lot, but it was mostly of the man working out how to extract a fox bead. And it was all too complicated for them to understand.

By the time Medea returned to tell us that Sang-hee was safe in the Korean Underground with her beloved cat, the place was a mess and so were we.

“Shit,” the Gorgon swore and looked around. “You guys are thorough. I'll give you that.”

“Not that it's done us any good,” Killian growled.

“All right, enough,” I said.

Everyone looked at me.

“The Kumihos are safe,” I went on. “We can rest for now. And we all need a rest. But first, we need to let off some steam. I'm going to get Sever and the kids.”

Raza looked at his watch. “Seren, it will be late in Twilight. After ten. The kids are asleep.”

“Do they have school in the morning?” I asked.

“What?”

“You heard me. They don't have to get up early, and I think they'd love to see this place. I'm going to get them, and we're going to have a family day.”

“It's freezing here,” Daxon said.

“That hasn't stopped the humans from visiting.” I shrugged. “I think our kids are tougher than human kids.”

Killian grinned. “I'm going with you. I can't wait to tell Rowan that we're taking her to a Korean wonderland.” He held out his hand.

Raza looked at Tiernan.

“She's right. We need this. And the kids will love it,” Tiernan said.

Raza relented with a grin. “All right. Since everyone is safe, I suppose it won't hurt.”

Killian and I didn't wait. I laruked to Twilight.

As we left, I heard Daxon ask, “What? My opinion doesn't count?”
