I looked at my husbands.

“Go, mo shíorghrá,” Raza said. “We'll look after Killian.”

“Thanks!” I didn't hesitate, just reached for my Angel magic and laruked home, into my closet—the designated laruking spot when we were away. “I'm here!” I called as I ran out, still clutching my boobies.

Sever came out of the nursery holding our daughter, a smile on his face. Then he saw me. His eyes widened, and he started laughing.

“Shut up and give her to me!” I snarled. “You have no idea how much this aches.”

“Oh! Sorry, love. Sit down, and I'll put her in your arms.”

I raced to my rocking chair, pulling out a boob as I went, then plopped down on the cushion. Luckily, Miri was hungry and latched on right away. But that wasn't enough.

“Can you get the breast pump, please?” I asked Sever.

“Certainly.” He went to the dresser and got the pump, then affixed a bottle to it. “Here you are.” His eyes gleamed as he asked, “Shall I help you?”

“Seriously? You want to make pumping milk erotic?”

He lost the gleam. “I guess not.”

“Correct answer.” I held our daughter with one arm and pulled my shirt up further with my free hand. After getting the other breast out, I did need a bit of help to hook myself up to the pump. Then I set to it, pumping while Miri ate. “Thank the Goddess. I just got back from a search and nearly forgot. But my boobs reminded me.”

Sever snorted.

“Don't laugh at your breastfeeding wife.”

He pressed his lips together.

“Okay, go ahead.” I chuckled.

Sever went to sit on the loveseat, banishing his wings as he lowered himself, and grinned at me. “No one tells you about the silly parts of parenting.”

“Yeah, I was a little horrified the first time around.” I looked down at Miri. “But they're worth it.”

“How did the search go?”

I lost my grin.

“That bad?”

“Yeah. Let's not talk about it. Just know that I have to go back.”

“All right.”

“How was your day?”

“Kind of wonderful.” Sever smiled softly. “I got more attention from the children than normal since the rest of you were gone, and I carried Miri most of the day.”

“You say that like it's a good thing.”

Sever chuckled. “It was. We played games and ate in the back garden. Eibhleann baked cookies in her tree.”

“That does sound nice. I froze my butt off in a Kumiho's garden, crawling around in the icy grass, looking for things for Killian to touch.”

“Yes, it gets chilly there.”

“It gets cold at Castle Seelie, but not that cold.”
