He complies. She didn’t think anyone could fuck this hard, but he does, long, quick thrusts into her each time. His breathing is harsh, and she thinks he might come soon. He kisses her, and the tenderness surprises her. With him fucking her like this, she figured a kiss would be messy and hard, but it’s surprisinglygentle. Because that’s what he is really. He’s a big teddy bear, her bear.
His hand snakes down to her clit, rubbing twice before she’s coming. Her whole body shakes in his arms, and three thrusts later, he’s coming as well. He relaxes her body down from its curled up position, laying her flat on the bed and tucking himself into her side. He rests his large head on her shoulder, and she strokes his hair. The orgasms were great. The sex was phenomenal. He’s perfect, her perfect mate.
Chapter Thirty-Nine
Axel
He’s left his mate in their cabin to rest. She will need all her energy if they continue to fuck like they have been. He loves the feeling of being inside her. Loves her taste, the way she trembles and moans when he’s licking her open. When she licks his cock it’s like heaven, his mate laving at him, taking him deep into her mouth. His dick twitches in his pants as he walks to the lodge.
It’s check-out time. He’s missed breakfast with his brothers in favor of staying in the cabin and making love with Chloe. That’s what it is really, making love. It might not always be sweet and tender, but it’s them expressing their love for one another, and it makes his heart swell.
When he arrives at the lodge, he grabs a fresh muffin that Jack had made that morning. It’s soft and fluffy and just what he needed after that morning’s round of sex. When he opens his eyes after a big bite, he catches Jack smirking at him and blushes. He knows his brothers will tease him. It’s all in good fun. He’ll tease back if they find their mates, whenthey find their mates.
Axel is at the front desk when asshole one and asshole two come up.
“Enjoy your stay?” he asks. It’s a standard question, but with these men from the Harvey Group, he puts as much sarcasm into the question as possible.
“Not particularly,” Russell says.
Axel flicks his eyes to the other man, David, and sees he’s looking flatly at Axel. Any kind emotions he had portrayed are gone.
“We want to speak to you one last time before we leave.”
“No.”
Russell irritates him as all get out. He’s rude, disrespectful, and doesn’t take no for an answer. Exactly the kind of person he doesn’t want staying in his lodge.
“I think you do, Mr. Henderson. I think you want to know exactly what I have to say.”
Axel looks at him, pulls out his phone, and sends an SOS group text to his brothers. He can take Russell and David easily, but that’s not the point. He wants them to leave peacefully.
Jack comes quickly out of the kitchen, and Gunner comes through the front door; both must have been close by. He doesn’t know where Raif is, he could be ten minutes away on the grounds somewhere, or even further.
Russell pulls out another contract from his briefcase, setting it down on the front desk and holding out a pen for Axel. He ignores the pen, glaring at the contract, wishing it would burst into flames and disappear. Jack comes forward, picks up the contract, and rips it in half, “We’re not interested.”
“Well, that’s too bad. You see, Mr. Henderson, your lodge has only a few months left before it closes for good. Before you lose the structure, the land, everything. Everything your family built will be gone, and you’ll be left with nothing. At least by selling, you’ll have money to support your mother in her retirement. Make the smart choice and sell.”
Axel stiffens and assumes his brothers do as well. Gunner growls and lunges. Axel pushes him back quickly, but the smile on Russell’s face only grows.
“Harvey Group will help this town grow and thrive. Imagine a golf course, three towers of hotel rooms, and a grand ballroom. They will make this town great, bring in income, housing, and jobs. They have offered you millions. Take the money, leave.”
Raif bursts in through the front door and is immediately at Axel’s side.
“It is imperative that you make this decision quickly. Harvey Group will only allow you so long before they revoke the offer completely.”
Russell smiles. It’s dead, empty, and Axel wonders how a person could get to that state.
“We don’t want your money,” Axel steps forward so close to Russell that the man is forced to take a step backwards. “We’re not selling.” Axel takes another step into Russell’s space, and the man scurries back. “And you can get the fuck out of my lodge right now.” Axel takes two more quick steps towardsRussell, and the man practically stumbles trying to get away. Finally, looking a little less confident.
The two men turn to walk out, but Russell can’t seem to help himself and turns back. “You’ll regret this, you all will. If you think business will pick back up again, you’re sorely mistaken. You can’t financially recover from this.”
“Ithinkif you were to illegally access our financial reports again, you’d find a much different story. We will survive this, and we will be thriving by next year. Now get out. And by the way,” Axel says as the men turn towards the entrance to the lodge, “the helicopter pad is closed for maintenance. Have fun walking back into town.”
The brothers surround him at the front desk. He doesn’t know what to say. They have been threatened. They have been swindled almost to the point of losing everything. And they survived and are coming out on top.
“You should have let us rough them up, scare them a bit.”
The statement comes from Gunner, which surprises him since Gunner is always the one who is calm and collected. But he understands their fear. This is a lot.
