“You okay?”

“It’s too much.”

Her hand reaches out to cup me through my pants. Her eyes follow the movements of her hand as she begins to stroke me.

I stop her hand’s motion and press a kiss to her forehead. Leaning my forehead against hers, “Not like this.”

The music is loud outside; I can hear people moving about right outside the door. The only thing preventing us from being caught in this intimate position is the lock on the door.

“I should go.” My Hales gives me one last smile before unlocking the door and slipping away.

That’s probably for the best. People might be wondering where she’d wandered off to. This moment is earth-shattering, but it’s what comes after, tomorrow, that excites me.

It’s still unclear, we’re entering into the unknown but I’ve never been filled with more anticipation in my life.

Hayley

“Hayley, wait up.”

Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.

Shoot me now.

“What do you want, Corbin?” I huff in exasperation.

I’ve just finished class for the day, I’m really not in the mood to deal with Corbin and his bruised ego right now. It’s been a long day, I just want to go home and sleep until dinner.

Living with my oldest brother, Oliver, has proved to be more difficult than I originally thought. While one of the positives is that he’s at work a lot, he’s also a guy. Messy, smelly, and likely to hog the bathroom in the mornings.

“To talk.”

“About what? There’s nothing to discuss.” With a sigh, I shoulder past him and continue walking down the hall.

And there isn’t.

So we kissed. People did it all the time, it’s not a big deal. I don’t know why he is trying to make it a bigger deal than it needs to be.

Was it a good kiss? Yes.

Was it the best kiss I’ve ever had? Yes.

Have I dreamt of nothing else since said kiss? Abso-fucking-lutely.

But none of that mattered because of who he was. It shouldn’t matter to him either. Hell, Corbin should be even more freaked out than I am.

“Hayley, come on. We were friends before, we’re allowed to talk.”

“Well, I don’t want to, I’m busy.”

“Hayley, stop!” I’m pulled to a halt, but I continue avoiding looking in his direction. His voice lowers as he speaks into my ear, his warm breath tingling the skin of my neck. “You can’t just avoid me every time we kiss.”

“And why not?” I whisper harshly. I know I can’t, but right now it seems like my only option.

“Because it’s gonna happen a lot, and often.” As if just to prove his point, he leans in and seals my lips with his.

Fuck, he’s a good kisser.
