She also told me all about Fenrir and how he is one of the most ferocious Gods in her religion. While she is telling me all about this, he keeps chiming in arguing with her about his past.
After we finish eating, she walks with me back to my room. When I open the door, she grabs my hand.
“That dinner was the most fun I’ve had in a long time,” she says as she looks deep into my eyes. Before I can say anything she leans in and kisses me on the cheek.
“I’ll see you tomorrow for training. Get some sleep.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow then,” I reply, smiling as she lets go of me and walks away. Slowly turning, I walk into my room and fall onto the bed with a sigh, then yawn.
What a crazy fucking day that was, crosses my mind as I drift off to sleep.
Chapter 6
Iwake up abruptly to a loud banging on my door. “Enough beauty sleep, get your ass up, grab some food and get to the sparring ground,” Achilles shouts.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” I groan, and roll out of bed. Looking down, I’m confused. How the hell do I change my clothes? Maybe it works like the food… Okay, then let’s give it a shot. Let’s see… How about my favorite Metallica shirt with a pair of loose fitting jeans.
Holy shit! It actually worked. Hell yeah.
Like some shit a crappy magician would do, my clothes changed.
Walking to the door, I push it open and notice no one is in the hall.Where did he go? Whatever, let’s see if I can remember where that chow area is.
As I get to the end of the corridor, just before stepping onto the training grounds.
“Surprise,” Frida shouts as she jumps on my back, wrapping her arms and legs around me.
“Jesus Christ,” I shout as we stagger forward, as I try to regain my footing. “Good morning to you too.”
“Are you going to grab some food?” she asks.
“Yep, trying to remember how to get there,” I reply.
“Well then I’ll have to be your guide then, won’t I,” she says with a gleeful tone. We make our way to the dining hall and see Achilles, Lucius, and Perseus sitting down, chatting as they finish their food. Perseus throws me a pissed off scowl.
“I guess that he’s still pissed off about what happened yesterday,” I whisper to Frida.
“Don’t worry about him, he’ll get over it, just give him some time,” she whispers back.
“It’s about time you two got here,” Lucius shouts. As he does that Achilles looks over his shoulder at us.
“You two hurry up and eat, then get to the sparring ground. I’m going to take these two to the advanced training ground today, and then I’ll be back to see how well you are progressing with your transformation control, Evander,” Achilles says with an almost commanding tone, as he stands up looking at the other two, with a nod they get up and follow him out.
Sitting down, I think about what I want for breakfast.
How about a stack of chocolate chip pancakes with sliced bananas and blueberry syrup?
Poof there it is, and digging in, I ask Frida.
“So what are we going to work on today?”
“We are going to work on your hand to hand combat, then combat in your Lycan form and depending on how well you do with all of that we can move on to mastering the transformation,” Frida replied.
We bullshit some more as we finish eating and then head to the sparring ground. When we get there, Uriel is standing there, waiting.
“It’s about time that you two got here, let’s go. I need to see what you can do,” Uriel says, looking at me.
Frida and I move to the center of the arena and square off.
