“We have access to your cell phone,” Kai casually replies.
“Your burner cell too,” Xavier adds.
“Bullshit.” My eyes narrow to slits. “I check my cells regularly for bugs and tracking software.”
“We didn’t even attempt that.” Hunt leans back in his seat, grinning as he lifts one ankle over his knee. “We have a contact who gave us access to the phone company records. We pulled all your data and have live access to all calls and messages.”
“You had no right!” I yell, hopping up. “That’s a massive invasion of my privacy!”
“It’s no fun being on the receiving end, right?” Jackson attempts to smother a smirk.
“You never trusted me,” I fume, clenching my hands into fists at my side. “You were spying on me from the start.”
“Pot, kettle, black, little brother.” Kaiden shoots me a challenging look.
“Well, fuck.” I drag my hands through my hair, realizing they know most all of it anyway if they have access to my phones.
“You and I are definitely hitting the ring this week,” Kai says. “I need to pay you back for sneaking into my studio, you little shit.”
My mouth trails the ground. “How did you know about that? You don’t have cameras. I checked.”
His lips tip up at the corner as he winks at Sawyer and Xavier. “It helps to have friends with access to the latest tech gadgets. Did you really think I wouldn’t have cameras all over the house to protect my wife?”
“There are none in the bedrooms or bathrooms,” Abby supplies.
“We have access to cameras hidden from detectors,” Xavier explains. “There is no device on the planet that can detect them.”
“So, you’ve known? All along you’ve known?”
“Don’t beat yourself up, little Anderson,” Jackson says. “We understand your motives, and no one blames you. It’s what most of us would have done in your shoes.”
“You didn’t give Hamilton anything important, and it was obvious you were buying time,” Hunt says.
“I didn’t have a choice. He threatened Ro and Emery, and he has some guy following her.”
“Had.” Kai smirks, and my brows climb to my hairline.
“We took care of that little problem,” Jackson says. “You’re welcome.”
“Thanks.” At least it explains why I never spotted anyone tailing her. “What gave me away?”
“Ro let slip about Hamilton at the apartment in New York,” Kai explains. “It didn’t take much to figure it out from there.”
“We knew you didn’t want to come to Rydeville,” Rick adds. “That you were doing it for Ro and Emery and Hamilton.”
“You were behind what happened at Wakefield. You’re responsible for outing that perverted bitch and Winston Copeland’s criminal enterprise. Am I right?” Kaiden asks.
“I told that prick what she was doing, but he wouldn’t listen to me,” I snarl, instantly getting angry.
“Because he was in on it,” Abby says with a frown.
“Yeah. He knew, and he didn’t care.”
“I hate that the prick got away,” Abby says, shooting venom from her eyes. “He should be rotting in a jail cell too.”
“Winston is at the top of my shit list too, and I haven’t forgotten about him.” I crack my knuckles. “He fucked off with his wife, leaving Emery to face everything alone.”
“How does she feel about everything her father was involved in?”
