exhausted he was.

The princess is awake and asking for her daddy and you.

I hated the idea of waking him but knew Corey would be pissed if he didn’t get some time with

Willow. I also didn’t want to impose on my sister. She was having dinner with Jayden tonight. The

two of them were trying to navigate their relationship now that he was more independent and trying to

carve out his own life, and Chase was still nervous around me. I couldn’t imagine his boyfriend

would be open to more strangers seeing him. He was possibly one of the cutest littles I’d ever met.

Eventually, it might be fun to get him and Corey together to play.

Would you mind bringing her up to the apartment?

Will do.

A few minutes later, I heard feet clomping up the stairs, far too loud for someone so little. I

twisted around when I hear the door open, placing a finger over my lips to warn Willow she needed

to be as quiet as possible.

Her eyes grew wide when she rounded the couch. “I told Daddy you were a good snuggler. He

musta been really sleepy.”

“He was,” I confirmed, lifting my arm for my little princess. “Did you want to snuggle with us? I

can turn on ponies for you again.”

“You’re spoiling her,” Vivvie warned me.

“Yep.” No sense arguing. Eventually, I’d have to figure out how to say no, but today I felt like

both she and her daddy needed snuggles to make everything better.

“Are you coming down for dinner?” I hadn’t considered it since I was supposed to be going to the

club tonight. It had been a while since I’d seen Jayden and I wanted to touch base with him to see if

he had any more questions for me. Then again, dinner with his mom might not be the time to bring that

up. Vivvie misunderstood my silence. “Let me rephrase that. Dinner is at six. After Corey gets some

rest, I fully expect all three of you down there.”

“It’s not going to do any good to fight you, is it?”

“Not really.” She scooped up Willow, who’d stuck close to her side even after I’d hoped she’d

climb onto the couch with us. “I promised the princess she could help me with dessert.”

“But she’s sick,” I argued. “Maybe it’d be better if I run to the store while they’re sleeping and

make them something simple for dinner. I don’t want Jayden or Chase sick, too.”
