“It’s not easy for most people to stare at an ugly mug like mine.”

“I think you’re handsome.” Her eyes widen in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that.”

“I abhor liars,” I growl. “No sane person would consider me handsome.”

“I’m not lying.” Her voice trembles.

I study Pepper intently, aiming to decipher the truth of her words.

“Have you decided?” She gestures towards the menu, breaking the tension.

“Not yet. What do you recommend?”

“The barbeque bacon cheeseburger is one of my favorites.”

“Then I’ll have that.”

“How would you like your burger?”

“Rare.”

“Regular or sweet potato fries for an extra two dollars and seventy-nine cents?”

“Regular is fine.”

“Drink?”

“Heineken.”

“I’ll be right back.”

Damn, that’s a whole lot of ass; it bounces with each step she takes. I can’t wait to bend her over and fuck her virgin cunt.

She returns, placing the beer on the table. I notice her hand is shaky. “Here you go.”

I grab her wrist. “Do I frighten you?”

“Of course not.”

I tighten my grip. “I won’t tolerate being lied to. This is your last warning.”

“You’re a bit intimidating,” she replies, eyes downcast.

“Regrettably, I can’t alleviate your fears.” My thumb glides across the rapidly beating pulse in her wrist before I place a kiss there. “Excelling at intimidation is one of the many reasons I’m successful. Also, it pleasures me to see people squirm.”

She snatches her arm from my hold.

“I should see if your food is ready,” she says, fleeing.

Another waitress brings my food to the table.

“Where’s Pepper?”

“On a break. Is there anything I can get you?”

“Yeah. Pepper.”

“Umm… okay.”
