“I’m happy you’re here too, Art.” Lilah winks.
“You’re just in time for a game of truth or dare.” Bri tugs me down to sit beside her.
“I’m not interested in playing a stupid ass child’s game.”
“Come on. It’ll be fun. Anyway, since you’re here, you have to join in.” Lilah sips her beer.
“Maybe after the game, you, Lilah, and I can go to my bedroom for a little fun,” Bri murmurs in my ear.
“Are we playing the game or what?” Danny takes a puff off his joint. “You want to take a hit? Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot, you prefer cocaine.” He laughs.
“Shut up, Danny,” Bri hisses.
“You can talk all the shit you want, but you’re no match against me in a fistfight.”
“No fighting, guys,” Bri snaps.
“Then rein in your dog,” Robbie says.
The assholes laugh like that’s the funniest joke they’ve ever heard.
“Danny talked shit first as always. I’m tired of all this drama. Just start the fucking game,” Cin says, effectively shutting down the argument before it can escalate further.
My girl always defends me.
My girl?Where the hell did that come from?
“I’ll go first,” Robbie volunteers. “Anneli, truth or dare?”
“So, we’re playing this game tonight,” Dex says entering the living room.
“You would choose me, prick,” Anneli grumbles.
“Yep, that’s me, Mr. Prick.” Robbie chuckles.
“Dare.”
“Oh, you shouldn’t have chosen that.” Robbie rubs his hands together.
“Wait, I change my mind,” Anneli says in alarm.
Dex laughs as he sits on the settee. “You know that’s not going to fly.”
“You can’t change your mind,” Bri says.
“Why not?”
“It’s against the rules,” Aiden chimes in.
“There are no rules for truth or dare,” Anneli huffs.
“If you refuse, you have to take a shot.” Lilah pours Patron into a shot glass.
“Patron is gross.”
“Well, if you don’t want to take a shot, you know what to do,” Josh says.
“Fine. Lay it on me.”
