Ax held up a hand.“Nope.I’m good.”
Fury turned back to him.“Anyway, my woman, Amelia, and Tara, another old lady in the club, sat down with her and talked. It didn’t take long before both women decided Naya needed to live with us.”
“How long has she been there?”Dutch asked.
“A little over three weeks. Why did it take you so long to get here?”Fury asked and crossed his arms.
Dutch gritted his teeth. He wanted to snarl that it wasn’t any of his fucking business, but he was standing between him and Naya.“I had no fucking clue where she went.I had people looking for her everywhere, and she vanished. One of the guys she worked with at the bar came back from vacation, and that’s when I found out she’d taken a bus. Then it took us several days to figure out where the bus took her.”
Fury nodded.“Come by the compound tomorrow night.”
“Why do I have to wait that long?”Dutch asked.
“That’s when she’ll be the most docile.I’ll make sure the girls get some alcohol or weed.”
“Hold up,” Dutch growled.“I don’t want Naya using that shit.”
Fury smirked.“Yeah, I didn’t want my woman to either, and look where that got me.”His two men behind him laughed.“These women are as sweet as can be, but they’ll fight tooth and nail if you try to prevent them from having a little girl party every once in a while.”
“Fine.Give me a time,” Dutch asked.
“Nine. The meal will be done, and the girls will have started their little party.”
“We’ll be there,” Dutch said.
“Good.Oh, plan on crashing with us for a few days.”
Dutch scowled. He wanted to grab his woman and take off for home.“Why?”
“Because Amelia and the others won’t let you take her until they’re sure you’ll treat her right,” Fury said and grinned.
“Why can’t you just tell them to knock it off and stay out of it?”
All three men laughed so hard they had tears in their eyes.
Fury finally got control.“Dude, you’ll understand when you meet them.”
Dutch wiped a hand down his face.“Fuck.Fine.We’ll see you tomorrow.”
Fury nodded.“This will be good.”
“What?”
“Watching how she takes seeing you. When she’s drunk or stoned, all she can talk about is how perfect you are, but then she gets sad and says she’ll never see you again. One, because she thinks you don’t care, and two, she said she’d die of embarrassment if she ever saw you again.”
Dutch grunted.“Too bad. She’ll get over it.”
“Do you think you’ll tell me why she’d be so embarrassed?”Fury asked.
Dutch shrugged.“Maybe.”
“That’s good for now.See you tomorrow.”The three Devil’s Sons left.
Sarge closed the door after them and faced Dutch.“What do you think of that? Can we trust them?”
Dutch nodded.“Yeah.I didn’t get any clue of deception or violence.Did you guys?”
They all shook their heads.
