Ethan’s shocked eyes stare me down as I push Hannah’s chair back in place. He’s clenching his jaw, and as Hannah leans toward him, I can tell he’s stuck somewhere between anger and unrelenting desire.
I think—at least I hope—the anger is for what those girls were saying and not the fact that I just devoured Hannah like she was the grande finale at this Michelin star restaurant.
Hannah gets closer to him but this time, he dives in. Pulling her off her chair and onto his lap. As if my kiss sparked a bit of competition and he needs to outdo me.
Fine by me. Because I have every intention of doing whatever I need to spoil them both with the utmost pleasure.
I shift my gaze over to the two plastic Barbie dolls at the table next to us. I had a feeling that they were going to be a problem when I watched them arrange their silverware and criticize everything as they sat down. I’ve seen and met girls just like them before. They’ve probably had more surgeries than Elizabeth Taylor had husbands, and if you removed the layers of make up they would resemble something closer to a used-metal vintage lunchbox than an actual face.
They spend as much time cutting people down as they do complimenting themselves and I despise people like that.
But, the way Hannah handled that? Shoving her scar, and us, in their faces like she owned both? Fuck, it was hot. And she can own me all day, any day because I’m diving head first, taking full advantage of whatever is happening right now.
Hannah and Ethan stop kissing but she remains in his lap and I can’t help my shit-eating grin as I look at the girls, mouths agape, with offended looks on their faces.
I peer around the room and catch eyes with Hugo, quickly passing him an incredulous look for the dinner he fed us. Oysters, cold pomegranate and fig soup, hot honey watermelon salad, cocoa crusted filet. I swear not one dish was missing a sexual heightening aphrodisiac and I know he did that on purpose.
Not that I’m really complaining about it.
Waving my finger in the air in a small circle, I tell him we’re finishing up and heading out. He nods, and since he has my card on file we can leave anytime.
Which is now.
Kobi messaged that he landed a few minutes ago and now, not only am I looking forward to seeing him, but also where this night is headed.
Standing, I hold my hand out to Hannah to help her up. My eyes meet Ethan’s and a look of understanding passes between us. Fuck, I want to devour this man too. If I could bend down and kiss him with certainty that he wouldn’t punch me in the face, I would do it.
Ethan places his napkin on his plate and stands, rising to meet me face-to-face. His eyes dip to my lips as his tongue pokes out and licks the corner of his mouth, like he’s still tasting me from that three-way kiss.
Or maybe he’s trying to establish his dominance over me for kissing his girl.
You can alpha me into submission, anytime, big boy. You have no idea the things I’m willing to do for you.
I hold my arm out toward the front of the restaurant letting him trail behind Hannah first.
Before following, I turn to the girls at the table.
“Barbie. Skipper.” They both look confused at my nicknames for them. But, their eyes light up and a tight smile crosses their stiff botoxed faces as I toss a stack of hundred dollar bills on their table. “I’d love to buy your dinner so you can afford some manners in the future.” Their mouths fall in perfectly timed, jaw dropping shock. I internally fist bump myself.
“Have a good night ladies. I know I am.” Wiggling my eyebrows, I turn and head out of the restaurant, meeting Hannah and Ethan in front of the elevators.
“Ready for Vortex?” I ask nonchalantly, fighting to hide every ounce of excitement that wants to bubble out of me.
Hannah presses the down button and nods with the most radiant smile.
“You better dance with me or Dane will,” she signs to Ethan and he playfully smacks her ass.
I don’t know what it is, but I feel more connected to them than I have with anyone and it’s only been one day.
Hugo might be on to something.
Three more days of this and I might actually fall in love.

ETHAN
The club was loud before we walked into it. As we trail through the dance floor to the booth that Kobi, Dane’s friend, reserved for us, it’s absurdly loud.
