“Like what?” I pressed on, determined to draw the truth out of her.
“Like how you make me feel!” she blurted out, turning around to face me.
Now, we’re getting somewhere.
“You put my life in danger, then swoop in and save the day—who does that?” she began, the words spilling from her lips in a frantic rush. “I’m supposed to hate you for everything you’ve done—God, I wanna hate you. I wanna hate you so bad!”
I watched her vent all her frustrations without interrupting her.
“But that kiss….” She paused, her voice dropping lower before trailing off into silence.
“What about it?” I asked, stepping forward, my eyes drinking in the hint of longing creeping into her gaze.
She didn’t reply. Instead, she moved backward, slowly and quietly.
“What is it about that kiss that you wanna admit?” I marched onward, savoring the mix of fear and desire flickering in her eyes.
Her back hit the wall behind her, and a soft gasp fell from her lips. She looked up at me when I halted inches from her, her chest rising and falling with slow breaths.
I leaned in, placing a hand on the wall beside her head, my gaze unwavering. “Tell me, Eva, did the kiss do something to you?” My free hand flew to her face, fingers caressing her skin. “Did it make you…feel a certain way?” I whispered, watching her struggle to breathe.
She locked her jaw and replied with the same tone, “Don’t make me say it.”
“Why?” I teased, tracing the curve of her mouth with my thumb, my movements slow and deliberate. “Are you afraid you’ll lose control if you admit the truth?”
She swallowed. “I’m not afraid of anything.”
“Good. Then this should be easy.” I stroked the wet strands of her hair, a small grin tugging at the corners of my mouth.
“Why do you wanna know how I felt and what it did to me?”
I hesitated, reveling in her tension—her unease. “Because it would help me decide whether I’d do it again or not.”
She glanced away from my face for a second. “Do you wanna do it again?” Her voice dropped so low, like she was too embarrassed by her own question.
I held up her chin, then returned her gaze to me. “It depends on what you want. Now, I could walk away, and we can both suffer in silence, or….”
She stared right into my eyes with quivering lips. “Or what?” Her voice trembled.
I leaned in, my breath fanning her face. “Or I could do this.” My lips collided with hers in a split second.
Eva hesitated, but she didn’t push me away, and a few seconds later, she kissed me back. It was slow but passionate. She closed her eyes, her soft lips trembling beneath mine as I devoured them.
As our kiss deepened, my hand found her lap, and her body jerked subtly when I began sliding up her thigh. She moaned in my mouth, the sound hardening my cock within my pants. She held on to my shoulders, as if anchoring herself to reality while her head moved in sync with mine.
We exchanged warm breaths, both basking in the heat of our passion. The second my hand settled on her underwear, she broke our kiss, and her body stiffened. Eva stared at me in shock, her eyes searching mine like she was looking for something.
“What is it?” I asked, my voice laced with a hint of concern, wondering whether I had done something wrong. “Am I moving too fast?”
She nodded, then shook her head almost immediately, confusion flickering in her eyes.
I tilted my head to the side, trying to figure out what was happening. “I can stop if you want me to,” I whispered, taking my hand away.
“No, don’t.” She grabbed my hand and placed it back, as if it belonged there. “Just be gentle. I haven’t….” Her voice trailed off, her eyes shifting from mine.
My brows rose in shock. “You’re a virgin?”
She managed to look at me again with an expression that said she was uncertain of how I’d take the revelation. Eva nodded.
