Though I wasn't a fan of clubs, Gwen had always loved going dancing. We'd been out nearly every night in the years between high school graduation and Simon choosing her as the new Alpha. It wasn't hard to fall back into that side of me for a few hours.

No one in the crowd dared to touch any of us while we danced, as I expected.

Callum's hands remained on my waist, his skin touching mine constantly. He barely moved for at least the first twenty minutes, but when someone bumped into him, he stepped closer. As soon as he was pressed against me, he was moving too. Not with the music, but with me.

His erection was impossible to ignore, and I nudged the mental bond between us playfully when it throbbed against my back.

The small crowd in the loft with us thinned out as the night went on, but Liv showed no signs of tiring out. Outside of one short break for drinks in the royals' private room (the one I knew a little too well), which Liv instigated herself, we kept dancing.

For hours.

When the clubfinally closed at 2 AM, I was wrecked, and Liv finally lookedalmosttired. Everyone else on the balcony left, but neither of the fae followed. I was pretty sure Liv owned the club, so it didn't surprise me that neither of them were in a hurry to leave.

We danced for a few more minutes while the crowd thinned. When she was done, she thanked each of us with a fierce hug.

She was so happy, she basicallybounceddown the stairs, leaving me and Callum panting at the top of the platform.

"Is it always like that for her?" I asked him, my chest rising and falling quickly as we stared after her.

"Yeah."

"I think I'd rather be in pain."

Callum chuckled. "You wouldn't."

"It's that bad?"

"It is. The other three of us would trade our magic for Liv's in a heartbeat."

His hands were still on my waist, his body pressed against mine. The feel of him was somehow both comforting and electric at the same time.

"Should we go home?" I asked.

"Let's grab some water first."

Callum's lips met my shoulder lightly, for a moment, like he'd forgotten about my no touching rule. I let it slide.

"Water sounds amazing."

He released my waist and took my hand as we walked to their private room.

Leaning up against the edge of their small bar with the sides of our arms pressed together, we both sipped tap water. Callum cooled mine with a touch of his fingers, without me asking.

"So you've never danced before," I said.

"I tried once, when I was young."

"How young?"

"Fourteen, I think."

I glanced up at him. "I assume there was a girl involved."

"There was. Maya. She was a summer fae, which I thought would help. I made it about ten minutes, before the pain got so bad that I ended up in the bathroom, vomiting."
