THE WATCHER:
You facilitated.
NORTH:
I didn’t stop it. Sometimes I moved cones so the camera had a better angle. That’s complicity, isn’t it?
Segment 12 — “Harper”
[Soft phone buzz. A news anchor voice ghosts by: “…podcast host Harper Lane…”]
THE WATCHER:
Harper Lane—her biggest advocate. Thoughts?
NORTH:
When you build a brand out of forgiving a shark, you shouldn’t swim at dusk.
Segment 13 — “Warnings”
THE WATCHER:
If you could talk to the you from before she learned your name?
NORTH:
I’d say: if someone tells you you’re the only one who sees them, check the room for mirrors. If they hand you a script called “Good Man,” put it down. If you hear your keys in their pocket, ask for them back. Don’t wait for fire.
THE WATCHER:
And to the audience—her audience?
NORTH (voice rough against the effect):
Stop pretending you don’t like the show. Admit you’re here for the tear on the left cheek and the scar above the lip and the promise that pain makes a person interesting instead of dangerous. Then ask yourself if your charity is just hunger wearing a halo.
Segment 14 — Teaser
[The synth swells. A second, anonymous female voice—clipped, shaking—enters briefly, then cuts.]
THE WATCHER:
Next week: Part Two. Two people who got close enough to smell the lie under the lavender. Two different outcomes. One warning label.
One of them held the boom mic. One of them held her hand.
And no—neither of them is me.
[Beat.]
Closing
THE WATCHER (calm, final):
You want heroes. She gave you a mirror and you applauded your own reflection. North isn’t a hero either. He’s proof that “good intentions” is just another lighting cue in a story where the camera never blinks.
I’m The Watcher. And remember:
