I wince at the text. Alec. Fuck. I’ve almost completely forgotten about him. He’s so sweet and kind. We have so much history together and he used to be an incredible boyfriend, but he doesn’t…
Before I can finish that thought, a hand wraps around my mouth before an arm yanks me back into a dark alcove. I try to scream but it’s too muffled by the hand pressed against me.
“Shh, shhh, it’s me,” Nico rumbles into my ear.
Irritation fills me as I turn to face him in a flash. He lets me go easily and I can just barely see his features in the darkness as I glare up at him and whisper.
“What the fuck! Are you hell bent on scaring the ever living shit out of me or what?”
Before I can say more, his hand slips behind my neck as he pulls me in for a kiss. His mouth crushes to mine and for a moment I push back. There are people everywhere. This is so fucking stupid! Yet, when his tongue swipes against the seam of my lips, I’m a goner.
I melt into Nico’s hold, sighing softly as I wind my arms around his neck. His other hand comes to rest onto my hip before he’s tearing himself away.
“C’mon, little bunny. We gotta catch up before someone comes looking for us,” he rumbles low.
“That nickname is weak at best. You keep trying to make it work, but it’s not working.”
He gives me a challenging look before he pushes his hand into my pants, moving past my panties as he slips a finger inside me. He pumps in and out of me just twice before pulling out his practically dripping finger. Nico pushes his finger into my mouth and I let him, willingly as I begin sucking my taste off him.
Though I can’t see very well down here, you’d have to be blind to miss the way he’s staring at me. Lust and want practically consuming him as I suck on his finger like I’m sucking him off before releasing him with a pop.
He attempts to regain his composure, clearing his throat before he speaks.
“Trust me, it works.”
With that, he pushes on my lower back, guiding us back to the crowd. When we catch up enough, we create some distance and just in time for my dad to turn around, looking relieved when hesees us. My mom turns around too and smiles as she nods before facing forward once more.
Nico and I stay a little behind everyone and here and there our hands will bump into each other. A fluttering fills my stomach with each touch and I look up at him to find that he’s already looking down at me.
Fuck. I am so screwed. This man has the capability to absolutely ruin me, and God help me, I’d let him every day of the week.
Chapter Eighteen
Nico
Once the tour was over, Mary suggested we grab some dinner at the waterfront. Not wanting anything with going back to the house and being around Carly, I agreed that it was an excellent idea. They settled on a seafood restaurant that overlooked the water and that was fine with me since my only requisite was sitting beside Cassi.
Despite there only being four chairs at the table, a flicker of excitement and ease filled me when she took the seat beside me. I didn’t hesitate to slip my hand onto her knee under the table. She didn’t look at me or squirm like she did this morning, instead, she placed her hand over my own and slid it up higher and higher until I was practically cupping her pussy under the table in front of her goddamn parents. I gave her a squeeze that forced her to slam her mouth closed, like she was about to moan right here and now otherwise before returning my hand to where it belonged. Mainly because if it raised another few inches I’d rip her goddamn pants off and feast on her right here and now for everyone to see. Yeah, absolutely couldn’t lose control like that.
“Thank you so much for coming out to Seattle,Nico, and for staying longer. It’s been a real treat. We’ve missed Carly so much and we have been so anxious to meet you. We were half convinced she had made you up," Mary laughs.
I set my menu down and smile, nodding thankfully.
“I so appreciate you two opening your home to me so willingly. This has been…a trip of a lifetime,” I say, not being able to help my eyes from drifting to Cassi, just a for a moment, before I look back to Henry and Mary.
They both smile thankfully, none the wiser to how close I am to throwing their youngest over my shoulder and hauling her out of here so I can claim every inch of her.
“You’re welcome anytime, I know you don’t have much family but you’ve got us. Even if things don’t work out with you and Carly,” Henry says, surprising everyone at the table.
Mary seems to pinch him under the table as she hisses at him to mind his own business.
I take no offense, actually breathing a sigh of relief. Honestly, though I didn’t expect it, I really like Henry and Mary.
Everyone looks to Cassi expectantly, waiting for her to say kind words about me or the idea of me returning soon. She stays straight faced, though, before she looks around the table and shrugs.
“What?”
I can’t help but smirk as Mary shakes her head in disappointment.
