"Vanessa, how is Angel?" I ask trying to calm down.
"Angel... she had a miscarriage threat. She needs plenty of rest, and to stay in bed for a while with no stress."
"And the baby?"
"For now it seems to be fine, it was just a little blood loss, nothing to harm the baby or her."
" Can I see her?"
"Yes," she says, pointing to the room.
I look at Chris silently asking permission and he nods, going back to talk to Vanessa.
I knock and enter the room, I don't know what to say and I'm afraid, afraid of having lost them.
"Baby," I say, taking her hand and her tears start to fall again. "No love, stop crying. Please, no more tears baby. Rest. I'll be here, love. Always by your side," I say kissing her hand, after a while she closes her eyes and falls asleep. I leave the room to answer the phone that vibrates constantly.
"Dean, what?"
"Sorry, Matt, we were worried. We saw a picture of you at the ER is on social media. What's going on?"
"Fucking paparazzi! We're fine, I'll explain later," I say ending the phone call.
I go back to her room, approaching her. I caress her head, kissing her forehead sitting on the chair.
"You can never imagine how much I love you. And no matter how much you push me away, I will do everything to be in your lives, even if it will take me a lifetime to be forgiven." I whisper taking her hand, resting my head on her legs.
I feel her hand caressing my head.
I wake up immediately, straightening up.
"Hey, hi baby. How are you?"
"I'm fine," she replies, avoiding looking at me and sitting up. I take her chin, turning it toward me, brushing my lips with hers. "Please, love, don't shut me out of your life."
"I couldn't do it even if I wanted to." She answers me.
"I love you, Angel, you are my everything love, and no one can ever take me away from you. I am only yours baby."
She starts to cry, and I wipe those tears away, I had hoped never to see her cry again.
"Please love, tell me you believe me, I've never betrayed you and I never will."
"I believe you, even though I saw you, my heart says to believe you."
"Baby, what you saw was just a show. They paid her to jump on me and kiss me," I tell her while her eyes widen.
"So, you don't…"
"No love, I only want you. You are my air!"
I hug her, holding her close to me.
"I'm pregnant," she confesses, and I look into her eyes smiling. "I came to tell you."
"I know, love, and I don't jump for joy just because you're not feeling well. But I would like to scream with happiness."
"For real?" she asks incredulously.
