Danny turns around, and I feel his eyes on me. His smile makes my soul melt.

“You look wonderful,” he tells me. He gives me a light kiss on the lips and then takes my hand, making me turn around. “Yes, definitely amazing. Are you ready?”

“Like never before,” I reply with a smile.

“Have fun, guys, and don’t worry, everything will be fine here,” Ingrid says.

“Call us if you need anything.”

“Of course, now go! Go, have fun.”

We arrive at Moonshadow. The contrast between the ocean, the setting sun, and the candles make everything so romantic.

Dinner is a continuum of stolen caresses, smiles, and kisses. Near the end of dinner, I start getting nervous, imagining what awaits us.

After dinner, we go to Danny’s.

Drew has filled the house with red and white rose petals and candles.

Champagne is in the ice bucket with the two glasses and a note:

“Enjoy your first evening as a real couple. I want an invite to the wedding.

Xoxo Drew.”

We start laughing. It’s a nervous laugh, and the air is electric.

“Danny, it’s really gorgeous.”

“I didn’t do anything. But you’re more gorgeous,” he whispers, moving a lock of hair behind my ear. His fingers caress my face, and he moves to kiss me. His lips literally take my breath away. I have goosebumps, and I shiver at the contact of his hand on my back.

“Now, I can say it without fear,” he whispers on my lips.

“Say what?” I ask panting.

“That you’re mine,” he replies, taking possession of my mouth and the last crumb of my clarity. He takes me in his arms and leads me along the corridor in a wing of the house where I haven’t yet been.

Once in the bedroom, he puts me back on my feet.

The room has a 180-degree window overlooking the sea. Candles are placed all around the room, and the red silk sheets hide many unspoken promises.

I turn to Danny, whose eyes are filled with desire.

I walk up to him and undo his tie as we breathe heavily.

No words, no sounds other than our breaths and our chained looks.

I finish unbuttoning his shirt and place my hands on the bare skin of his chest. The contact seems to send a shock through him.

“Hmmm, baby…” he grunts, closing his eyes, enjoying the sensation.

When I slide my hands toward his belt, he stops me, smiling, and takes a step forward. He touches his lips to mine.

“Turn around, love,” he whispers, and I do.

Danny pushes my hair to one side and unhooks the button at the base of my neck.

I feel his breath on my skin and his lips following the dress’s fabric that he slowly slides down my body.
