“Nigga, you’re sick,” a familiar voice said. I glanced behind me at a frowning Jax. “Hurry up and do what you gone do to this nigga so we can get back to the bar before they shut down. You know we’re going to be docking in a few hours.”
“Nigga, where you come from?” I turned to face my twin brother, low-key pissed I didn’t hear him walk up. “Never mind. You’re right…” I dropped my shoulders and turned back to a snotty Joey. “This was supposed to be a nice family vacation, Joey, and you fucked that up for me. I told myself I wasn’t going to kill anybody this week, and you made me out to be a liar.” Bending to be the last person he ever looked in the eyes, I kissed my teeth. “Unfortunately for you, I’m okay with being a liar for today.”
I smiled as Joey’s eyes went wide as he began to squirm and scream into his gag. Jax came over and helped me wrap the small tarp that had been catching Joey’s blood around the bottom of his chair. Once the tarp was secured over his head, we lifted Joey and threw him overboard. With a big splash, I watched as his body sank into the water as the ship floated farther away.
“Your ass is nuts,” Jax murmured as he removed his latex gloves, handing them to me. I was going to make sure I disposed of them once we were off the ship.
“I didn’t expect the nigga to be that heavy, so you showing up is appreciated.”
Jax chuckled and shook his head as I shrugged. I didn’t regret being a nutty-ass nigga one bit. From the moment I saw Joey follow Blossom into the bathroom, I knew he wasn’t going to make it off this boat alive. The fear on her face enraged me, and if there weren’t so many witnesses, he would have died right then and there in the women’s restroom.
Making our way back toward the lower deck, I relaxed my shoulders once my family came into view. It had been a good first day yesterday, and everyone was excited to explore the island once the ship docked.
“Where have y’all been?” Karlie asked as soon as Jax and I reached the bar. “I was looking for y’all, but Jamir said y’all had to handle something.”
“If the man told you we had something to do, what the hell you asking questions for?” Jax answered, mushing the side of her head. Those two were always arguing, so it didn’t shock me when she punched him in the chest. Laughing it off, he kissed her temple, causing her to smile. “But, for real, get out of our business, sis.”
Ignoring them, I leaned against the bar, taking in the scene around us. Kids ran around and played while the adults were drunk off their asses. I wasn’t one for large gatherings, especially with strangers, so I couldn’t wait until we docked at the resort. While a cruise wouldn’t have been my first choice, I admitted it was nice. There were beautiful women all around, but none of them compared to the reason I chose to be here.
Standing at the edge of the bar, laughing with her friend, was the current target of my fixation. Her fears from yesterday were long gone as she threw her head back and cackled from something I was sure wasn’t all that funny. She mirrored the purest angel in her white, floor-length maxi dress that hugged her small curves. Her eyes shone brighter than the blade on Kimbo after a good cleaning, and something about seeing her happy and carefree made me fight the grin that wanted to form. From watching the surveillance, I knew she needed this vacation more than she let on.
As I watched her, I couldn’t help but think about the way she came apart for me last night. It wasn’t my intention to make her come when I joined her in the tub, but being so close to her had me turned on, and I couldn’t resist. I wanted nothing more than to fuck the shit out of her, but my busting a nut from her grinding on me was just as good. When I walked her back to hercabin, I told her we were going to link again before this vacation was over, and I was going to make sure it happened.
“Big bro, your hands are empty, and I don’t like that for you,” Jamari spoke as he slapped my back and stood beside me. Looking around, he locked eyes with the bartender, waving him over to us. When he arrived, he said, “I need a shit load of shots for me and my crew.”
Shaking my head as my siblings clapped and cheered, I knew they were going to milk me for all I had on this trip. I wasn’t mad about it, though. If they were enjoying themselves, then I’d accomplished my mission when the idea of us getting away sprouted. Grabbing a shot from the line placed in front of us on the bar, I threw it back quickly, frowning at the taste of the expensive tequila. Hearing him order more, I groaned, knowing that we were just beginning. Dragging my eyes back over to where Blossom was, I frowned when I didn’t see her. Pushing from the counter, I bounced my eyes around until they found the dance floor with her amongst a group of Mexicans. I didn’t know what the hell they were doing, but she looked ecstatic learning a dance they were teaching her. I was so invested in the show that it took everything in me not to spazz when the view was cut off by the last person I wanted to see.
“Hey, baby! Why haven’t I seen you yet?”
Placing her hand on my chest, Sheena looked up at me with the sincerest expression. She was met with me peering down at her, void of any emotion. Imagine my surprise when she approached me as we were boarding the ship yesterday, telling me she couldn’t wait to spend some time with me. It was still beyond me that she went as far as eavesdropping on a conversation between Dr. Massey and me to find out about where I was going. She knew it was the only way she would have any type of access to me because inviting her on a family trip was not happening.
“Sheena. I told you when you took it upon yourself to follow me here thatthatwas the wrong move. Now you want to question me about why you haven’t seen me?”
I raised my brow at her as I accepted another shot from Jamari. My folks saw when she approached me yesterday during the mandatory drill, and these niggas weren’t too happy about her being here. Sheena had left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth due to her erratic behavior when she pulled this same shit, appearing at my parents’ crib uninvited and showing her ass.
Removing her hand from my chest with my free hand, I shook my head at the desperation reeking off her. “I’m chilling with my family right now. The next time you’ll probably see me is at work.”
“It didn’t look like you were chilling with yourfamilywhen we saw that bald bitch in your face,” her best friend, Marsha, chimed in. Her arms were folded with the nastiest scowl on her face. “Who the fuck was she?”
I smirked. “You wanna fuck me, baby?” Placing my finger under her chin, I watched as her breathing hitched while I leaned in closer to her lips. “You wanna be the one I stick dick in and not her or Sheena, huh?”
“Yes,” she whimpered, causing Sheena to shove her away from my hand. Marsha’s eyes widened, realizing she’d said it out loud. “I mean, what?!” she corrected herself and turned away, embarrassed.
Chuckling at the ditzy twins, I pushed them both out of my way. Marsha worked with Sheena in the forensics lab and had been trying to get me to fuck with her for years. Sheena knew about it, and they bumped heads constantly because no matter how much Sheena claimed me as hers, Marsha lay in wait, hoping I’d call her up. That hope came from me letting her suck me off once or twice, but it was nothing to phone home about, which is why her waiting for me to call was a waste of time.
Throwing back my second shot, I stepped back into the bar and watched as Sheena shot daggers my way. I admitted she looked good tonight. She had on too much makeup for my liking, but her form-fitting cocktail dress made me consider meeting her in her cabin later. Shaking my head, I glanced around the deck, disappointed that I could no longer see Blossom. Pushing Sheena to the side, I scanned the entire area, pissed that she was gone.
“Look, we’re having family time, so save your psychotic ways and possessive bullshit for when we get back to Milly Grove,” I heard Karlie say in a sizzling tone from behind me. “Don’t get your ass beat and thrown overboard for fucking with my brother. He has to deal with your bullshit on the daily at work, and I’ll be damned if he does it on vacation too.”
“Who the fuck?—”
“Hey!” I turned, snapping at her. “Watch your mouth before you let some shit slip that’ll have you in the belly of a shark by sunrise.” Her eyes widened before they began to fill with tears. “I said if I have time, I’ll fuck with you, but it’s not a priority. Enjoy your vacation.”
“W-What about that girl I saw you with?” she whined, wiping her eyes. “Who is she?” She went from sad to angry in seconds. “If I see her in your face again?—”
“Say it.” I gritted my teeth as I stepped toward her, causing her to shrink. “If you say anything to her out of the way and I find out about it, I promise you, I’ll see to it that you wear a shit bag for the rest of your life.” Glancing at Marsha, my frown deepened. “You, too, Marsha. All on the strength of being just as slow as she is. If you two think I’m playing, try me. Y’all get the fuck on before you piss me off, for real.”
Looking from me to my siblings, both women rolled their eyes before stomping away, leaving the bar area. I would never feel bad about the way I talked to them, especially Sheena. I’dtold her repeatedly what it was with us, and she continued to act as if she was cool with it until she wasn’t.
