Sharing a Shower with the Hot Guy

Ziros

Centuries. Ages. Lifetimes.

That’s how long it’s been since I’ve done something like this.

She’s just a human.

A magical human, but still just a human.

And that’s exactly why I know better than to get attached. Her lifetime could never match up with mine. Falling for a human is only destined to end in heartbreak. That’s why I already know this is a bad idea.

Deep down, I know I shouldn’t let myself feel anything for her.

It must be the damn magic connecting us. And her blood magic flowing through my body.

That’s gotta be it.

That’s all it is.

This thing I feel as I look into her eyes? It’s just lust.

And she must feel it, too, based on the anticipation in her gaze. She stares up at me with hot, hungry eyes as I lean over her on the bed, tilting her jaw with one hand.

Her blood still calls to me, the scent of it filling the room, drawing me back in.

I never should have bitten her. Now that I’ve got a taste, it’ll be even harder to resist. Harder to let go.

I want more than anything to be free.

But right now, all I want is her.

I breathe in against her neck, my voice a low rasp against her skin. “You smell delicious.”

“I do?” She wrinkles her nose as she gives her shoulder a little sniff.

Like she doesn’tlikehow she smells.

What? There’s no way. She smells better than any other scent on this entire planet.

I pull back to look at her.

“Hey now. What’re you making that face for?”

“Nothing. It’s just that—” She laughs softly, a melodic sound. A laugh like water over stones, like the blaze of sun lighting the earth on a frozen day. “I smell like chlorine.”

I must be more drunk than I realized, because everything she does is beautiful.

Every sound she makes. Every movement.

With every breath, all I can taste is her.

I feel like I’m losing my mind.

I’ve never felt this way about a human before.No.
