“Yes.” She moaned as her eyes stared into mine. “Tell me how good I am being.”

“Good girls earn praise, Della. So, you keep riding me like this, and I’ll tell you when you’ve earned it.”

“Such a fucking tease.” She smiled, but her pace picked up. Her hands gripped my bare shoulders, and she used them to set a tempo that would kill me.

My mouth fell open as I watched her take complete control of me and my pleasure. Della rolled her hips roughly, and my eyes closed tightly. I tried to hold out longer because she felt so fucking good.

“Be a good boy and open those eyes. I want to see how good I’m making you feel, Haden. Do not hide from me. It is my reward for being a good girl.” I opened my eyes immediately, and she gripped my hair, tugging it back so I was forced to look at her. “Fuck, I love it when you do as you’re told.”

“You feel so fucking good, Della.” My eyes could not move from her pretty face. Her hips rolled roughly into mine. “That’s my good girl. You keep doing that and make me cum,” I demanded.

Her movements were frantic as she chased her own orgasm once more. I gripped her hips and tugged them harder against me.

“Oh, fuck.” She moaned loudly. “Don’t stop,” she pleaded.

I lifted her and slammed her down roughly, over and over again. The walls of the house shook as she called my name to the heavens.

“You’re so fucking pretty when you cum.” I moaned as I slammed into her once more. “Fuck, Della,” I cried out as I buried myself deep inside of her and came so hard I swore I saw the heavens. I had her in a death grip against me as our chests fell with rapid breaths. We stayed locked together and didn’t move for a long moment. When I pulled her back, Della’s glowing tears fell from her eyes.

“I love you so fucking much,” she whispered.

“I love you more.”

I stood up with her in my arms and went upstairs. I set her on the edge of the bed.

“Wait here.”

Standing up, I went to the washroom, where I started the bath, being sure to put her favorite lavender oil in it before lighting a few candles. After a minute, I could smell lavender drifting around me. I walked out and grabbed Della off the bed by scooping her into my arms. She held onto me tightly as her eyes took in the soft glow of candles that illuminated the space.

I grabbed the tunic and slipped it off of her before stripping out of my clothes. Then I scooped her up and set her in the tubbefore sitting opposite of her. She just stared at me, seeming to be admiring me. I watched her too, my eyes staying on her pretty face as I became lost in thought.

“What are you thinking about, Haden?” she whispered.

I swallowed hard as the amount of love I had for her felt all-consuming, like it would kill me. When I looked at her again, she seemed nervous.

“I was thinking of how both of us changed fate so many times to be together when we should have never had to because we were alwaysmeantto be together. I used to believe that maybe I would be better off alone. There was some part of me that truly thought no one would love me, and I believed that I was incapable of loving anyone because of who I was.

“But the first time you smiled at me, I wondered if I was made to love everything that you are, Della. I had no purpose before you, and I would have none without you. You are everything to me—smart, kind, selfless, brave, beautiful, funny, and warm. I did not know what love felt like until I met you. I did not know how wonderful it could be to be loved by someone for just simply existing.

“You once told me the heavens went above and beyond when they made me, but that is how I feel about you. I will spend the rest of our existence showing you how much I love you. I have loved you from the moment you held your blade to my neck all those years ago. I have loved you in all the moments in between. I have loved you in the darkest of times, and I have loved you in the brightest. I will love you with every part of me, and I will love you more with each breath I take. There is nothing I can say or do that shows you how profoundly I love you.”

I was crying when Della moved so that she was straddling me. She leaned forward and gave me a soft kiss.

“I would do everything again, Haden.” She seemed to be lost in thought before smiling. “Remember when I told you that whenyou were being sent to Hell, I was one of the gods watching, making sure the process went smoothly? We were all wearing our cloaks and hoods, so you guys didn’t know who we were, but you turned right before you jumped into the opening, and you stared directly at me.

“You smiled at me, Haden, like you knew who I was. I always wondered if your soul recognized mine in a sea of others standing there. Maybe you had no idea that you did that, but it changed everything. One look, one smile, one glimpse of your handsome face, and I was yours.”

She looked down at me and traced my lips.

“I saw our future when you looked at me. A future that I cannot wait to have with you, a future that starts right now. But I have one last confession,” she whispered.

My heart began beating fiercely.

“It is something I never told anyone; not even Abe knows of it.”

“You can tell me anything, Storm.”

She gave me a look before her face burned bright red with embarrassment.
