“I can think of things I want more.”

Harvey was tempted to take him up on the offer, but he needed to get his admission off his chest. He pulled back slightly. “As much as I like the sound of that, there’s something we need to talk about first.”

“Okkaay.”

He hated the note of uncertainly he heard in Ravi’s voice. He held out his hand. “Come on. Let’s talk.”

Ravi let himself be led to the couch. “You’re making me nervous. What’s going on?”

They sat next to each other. “It’s about Bo.”

Ravi smiled. “You don’t need to worry about him staying here. Honestly, I’m okay with it. Sure, we haven’t spent a lot of time together since he moved to Sydney, but we’ve put what happened behind us. It’s been nearly a year now and I’ve had time to come to terms with it, plus I have you.”

Harvey nodded and reached for Rav’s hand. “And I love what we have together. But…” Fuck, he didn’t want Ravi to take it the wrong way, to be pissed off.

“What?” Ravi’s brows drew together. “You’re not worried about me and Bo, are you?”

“No! Shit, Rav, that’s not it. It’s more about Bo and me.”

Now Rav’s frown grew deeper. “You and Bo? I don’t understand.”

“It’s nothing for you to worry about,” Harvey hurried to say, hating that he’d put that look on Ravi’s face. “I just need to be honest with you. There’s some history there, history with me and Bo.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, a few years ago when you were living in Singapore, I spent six months back in Perth. Bo and I hung out, especially after Parker moved to London—”

“You had a relationship?”

“No. Not really.” Fuck, how did he explain it without making Rav concerned it was more than it was? It was a one-night stand, however, deep down he knew the one night was the result of years of buildup, not a just a spur of the moment event. He twisted his hands together formulating his thoughts. He looked up and met Ravi’s gaze. “Don’t get me wrong, we got close, but as friends. Then the last weekend… the last night before I left…”

“Yes?”

“It was a one-time thing.”

Ravi’s eyes widened. “You and Bo? You fucked?”

Harvey flinched. God, it sounded cheap when he said it like that. But when it came down to it, that’s all it was, wasn’t it? One night of hot sex. A hook up. “Just once.”

“Riiight.” Ravi’s jaw clenched.

Harvey wasn’t sure what he meant by that one drawn out word.

“Are you pissed?” he asked, although he thought he already knew the answer from the look on Rav’s face.

“I’m not sure. I don’t think so. Maybe.” Ravi stood and walked to the window.

Harvey followed and stood behind him. It was dark outside, nothing visible apart from their reflection in the glass. It was hard to read the expression on Rav’s face.

“I understand why you’d be pissed. Finding out about it can’t be easy.”

Ravi spun around; arms folded across his chest. “Finding out about it isn’t the problem. I understand you have a past, and that Bo has a past. Yeah, it’s a bit strange thinking of the two of you together, but I sort of get it.”

“You do?”

“Of course, I always knew Bo had a crush on you, and you seemed to have a soft spot for him. The idea of the two of you getting together isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility.”

“Then why are you raising your voice?”
