Evan couldn’t keepthe grin from his face as he placed his breakfast on the tabletop opposite where Harry and John sat. He mumbled his good mornings through his smile. Harry grinned back, while John grunted his hello and bent his head to his mobile phone again.Obviously not a morning person.Oh well, no love lost—he wanted to focus on Harry anyway.

Amber slid into the seat beside him, her bowl of granola and yoghurt and a plate of fruit clattering on the table. She looked at his plate. “Good to see you’re keeping up your strength, Evan. All that protein should give you a lot of energy.”

He stabbed at a piece of bacon. “You know me, always looking after myself.” He shoved the bacon into his mouth.

She loaded her spoon with yoghurt. “I’m not so sure about that. After all, you’re not used to all the physical exertion.” She waggled her eyebrows in amusement.

Evan narrowed his eyes and momentarily regretted spilling his guts to her the previous evening. She’d loved that he and Harry had made the most of the opportunity she’d provided them, was grateful they’d avoided using her bed, and had laughed hysterically at Evan’s confession that his legs had been like jelly after the most explosive orgasm he’d had in years.

He swallowed the mouthful of bacon. “I’m not sure how much…exertion…will occur over the rest of the trip.” He briefly met Harry’s gaze, taking in the wide eyes and faint blush to his cheeks.Oh yeah, you know what she’s talking about.

“Hmm. You never know what might happen.” The creamy yoghurt dropped from her spoon with a deliberate splat.

Harry’s blush deepened. Evan sent a piercing stare her way. He was up for a bit of teasing, but he had no idea how Harry felt about Amber being in on their recent activities, although with the way she’d pushed them together last night, Harry no doubt knew she had an inkling of what they’d got up to.

She ignored his pointed look and grinned. “Anyway, all I can say is you can never be over-prepared.” She picked up a large slice of pineapple from her plate and held it out. “Here, I think you need this more than me.”

John finally looked up from his phone. “She’s right, you know.”

“She is?” Harry’s voice nearly cracked, it went so high, and Evan held his breath.

“Sure. We don’t know what else they have planned for us. The dancing might not be the end of the physical stuff. It probably wouldn’t hurt to be prepared. We might have to do some very unexpected things.”

“Exactly.” Amber deliberately placed the pineapple on Evan’s plate, then reached across the table and gave John’s hand a squeeze. “It’s amazing how the four of us have drifted to each other. It’s like it’s meant to be.”

“Meant to be?” John’s brows drew together.

“Yeah! I feel like we were destined to meet on this cruise. Fate has some great things planned. You know?”

Evan watched them over the rim of his coffee mug.

John shrugged. “I guess so.”

“Iknowso. Some things are just destined.” She looked between him and Harry, sending a quick wink Harry’s way.

Before anyone could say anything else, John’s phone chimed, drawing his attention back the device.

“Thank God.” John looked up, his face more animated than Evan had seen thus far this morning.

“Good news?” Evan asked.

“Umm…” He glanced to Harry. “I found someone to share the apartment.”

Harry beamed. “That’s bloody awesome news.”

“You’re moving?” Evan frowned.

“Ah…” John started.

“It’s complicated,” Harry cut in. “But let’s just say that it’s a major weight off my mind.”

“That’s good then,” Evan said. He assumed Harry would tell him more when they were in private.

“Where do you live, Evan?” John asked, changing the subject.

“I live in Lane Cove.”

“A bit suburban, isn’t it?”
