“Do not question her.She is a jealous Mother,” Willow said, showing the first bit of anger.
“If she thinks she’s going to take my mother from me I damn well question her.Nobody takes El from us,” Shawn retorted.
“You must let her go, in order to save her,” Willow pleaded.
“Is everything okay here,” Adam asked, announcing his presence.
“Yes, everything is fine.Just a minor misunderstanding,” El hurried before anyone else could say anything.
“It’s a bit more than that,” Trip growled.
“Please,” El begged of her mates.
“I will not take El if she refuses to go, but I will try to convince her.I will be honest with you all about everything I am able,” Willow proclaimed.
“Willow, I presume?”Adam asked.
El shoved the men to the side so that Adam could meet Willow.She was determined to get them to allow her to stay.Adam moved forward, and as El stepped away from Willow, Adam gasped.Willow’s face paled, and her eyes were wide.
“Mate,” Adam snarled his eyes glowing.
“Mate?”El squeaked.
“Oh no,” Willow whispered.
“Oh, no is right,” Ryan said.
Adam’s eyes shot over to Ryan, and he growled.Ryan put his hands up in the air.
“I mean her no harm, Adam,” Ryan said, taking a step back from Willow.All the other men did the same.
“What’s going on?”
“Adam doesn’t like other males being close to his mate,” Marcus explained softly.
“But the other males are my mates,” El scoffed.
“Yes, but the mate bond is new, so it doesn’t matter to him,” Marcus told her.
“I think it’s best if we leave them alone,” Trip said, taking El’s hand.
“I’m not going to leave her with him.She doesn’t even know him,” El snapped back.
“He’s her mate.He won’t harm her.”
“I know, but they don’t know each other.Mates or not, Willow may not want to be left alone with him.”
“It’ll be fine, my Luna,” Willow said, taking her eyes off Adam briefly to look at El.
“Are you sure?”El asked again.
“Yes, please do not worry for me.I would like to speak to my new mate.”
“Okay, but I’ll be close by if you need me,” El said.
El turned and left with her mates even though she didn’t like leaving Willow there with Adam.Once they got into the house, Ryan moved over and closed the giant blinds that overlooked the patio where Willow and Adam were.
“I just want a normal freaking day for once.Is that too much to ask?”El said, leaning her forehead on Ryan’s chest.
