I nodded.
“I hope you told them to get us another room. I don’t want to lay in their juices.”
I laughed. “I did.”
She stared at the hotel for a second, then shook her head. “They are disgusting. I can’t stand either of them,” she joked.
“They’re in love,” I corrected.
“They’re in lust,” she rebutted.
“Same difference.”
She sucked her teeth. “That’s not what you said a few months ago when you gave me an ultimatum.”
“I said it was the same difference for them, not us.”
She snorted “Whatever. I’m not arguing with you” She waved me off. “I need a drink,” she said, walking off in the direction of the tables. This was my wife and I couldn't have been happier.
