I crack a smile as I reach for the front door, and—“My, oh, my. You college boys sure are stupid,” I purr as I twist the handle the rest of the way and let myself inside.
I fully expected to have to force my way inside—and I wasn’t above it, but this…
This just feels like fate.
Chapter Sixteen
I Need Madison
Cedrick
The moment I step inside, I let my eyes fall closed, and I inhale deeply as if I can smell Madison now. Just knowing this is where he resides is enough to make my dick twitch.
It’s closer than I’ve ever been to his life outside of Mayhem since that night… and now, I have free reign.
My lips pull into a grin as my eyes widen at the realization that I’m alone.
I’m fucking alone. Inside Madison’s house.
Fuck.
With a newfound grin, I take a few steps inside, the sound of my boots echoing in a dull thud across the carpet. I trail my gloved fingers along the rough, pale colored wall, enjoying the scrape the tips of my pointed gloves make before pulling away with a sigh.
I turn to face the room in front of me, surprised to find the room is large but somehow cozy. It makes my eyes narrow as Iglance around the living room, inspecting for some discrepancies.
I notice furniture is mismatched and has definitely seen better days. The carpet is stained in a few spots. There are crumbs on the coffee table and a few glasses from the previous day—I’d assume—left behind, but other than that, the place is mostly clean.
I suppose that’s good for Madison’s sake… Because if he stays, I can see him as much as I desire, but that doesn’t mean I have to fuckin’ like him enjoying living here, surrounded by all these damn men all the time.Especially that one that was in his room—I cut myself off with a hiss as my pointed gloves dig into the soft inner flesh of my palms.
No.
No, no, no.
I don’t like him at all.
He’s a problem I’m gonna have to deal with.
I pull in a sharp breath and let my head fall back between my shoulders. I roll it around, listening to the cracks of bone as they pop from the movement. I stretch my shoulders out and flex the tendons in my neck until my muscles scream and my neck is aching.
It’s only then that I let my shoulders drop and the air bleed out of me in a slow breath.
I’m here for one reason and one reason only.
To be able to see my little mouse.
With a newfound ease, I slowly make my way through the living room and into the kitchen, fingers trailing over the backs of chairs and scraping over grooves in the wood, creating a few new ones of my own. Nothing anyone would ever notice, but my own little mark.
I walk over to a pile of papers on the counterand flip through them, noting the names on the front. There’s mostly mail for a Kane Wilson, with a few junk things for a Lenny Mason and Collin Olbrich.
I mentally store those names for later when I come across a packet for the Wi-Fi information. My face breaks out in a grin because, fuck.Everythin’ is just proving that this is exactly what was meant to be.
I flip through the instruction papers until I reach the back, where they luckily have the name and password written down.
What a bunch of fuckin’ idiots.
Don’t they know crazy people like me exist?
With glee, I take my phone out and snap a photo before connecting it to their internet. Then, I go about syncing the camera and making sure it’s all good to go before placing the papers back where I found them and making my way up the stairs to my little prize’s room.
