It wasn’t until my body keeled over, my red hair falling into Spencer’s face that she slowed herself. Using her strong grip on my hips, she lifted me off of the toy and pressed the silicone back into her pants.

She placed a gentle kiss on my cheek. “You okay, Kiera?”

All I could do was nod into her chest, desperately trying to catch my breath as I felt the absence of her between my folds.

A giggle rose to my chest as sweat gathered on my forehead.

“What?” Spencer brushed my hair to the side, trying to get a look at my face.

“I didn’t mean to fuck you.” Bringing my hand to my face, I tried to hide the embarrassed flush that was rushing to my cheeks.

With a smile, Spencer laughed. “Was I that bad?”

Shaking my head, I sighed. “God, no. So so good.”

I lifted my head just enough to meet her dark eyes, light up by the pleasure of the moment.

Fuck, she’s hot.Pretty. Handsome. Stunning.

There weren’t enough words to describe her, not on this earth.

What the fuck does this mean?I could hardly believe I’d really let myself have her, enjoy it like that.

Was it just Stockholm Syndrome, some cliche I’d regret having to admit to later? Or was I really, truly, falling for a woman? Let alone a woman who had taken me prisoner and shown me her murder cult?

Kiera restedher head heavy against my back as we rode back to the house. Between the dig through the files, the clean-up, and the… everything else we’d gotten up to, she had to be exhausted.

I tried not to worry about how quiet she’d gotten as the night crept on. It wasn’t unusual for her when she was sleepy. But what we’d just done had changed everything, and it wasn’t easy to fight back the doubt.

Did I push her too far?

It certainly didn’t seem like it when she was begging me to go faster. But I’d keep an eye on her anyway over the next few days. Just to be safe.

Once we were down the driveway with the kickstand down, Kiera grabbed my shoulders, squeezing tight as she swung her leg over the bike. I followed suit, leaning back against the bike and grabbing her hand. “Can we talk, Bunny?”

The way her nose scrunched at the nickname always filled me with a hum of excitement. She was adorable, fiery, stunning, sexy — and now, to some degree, she was mine.

“What’s up?” she murmured, wiping the sleep from her eye as I pulled her closer. Standing between my legs, she was almosteye-level with me. And the urge to close the distance between us again roared through my chest.

Not here. Not in front of the house.

I needed to regain my composure, but it was impossible not to smile every time I saw Kiera. Smirking, I shook my head. “What are we telling Leo?”

Her head tilted back, eyes shut as she let out a sigh. “Oh god. I really don’t want to think about that right now.”

“I know,” I cooed, stroking a loose strand of curly red behind her ear. “But we need to be on the same page, for everyone’s sake.”

Kiera bit her lip. Fuck was that distracting. But I forced my gaze up to her glittering emerald eyes as she shrugged. “I mean, maybe we should keep it to ourselves? For now?”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah…” she shook her head. “I’m not embarrassed about what happened, to be clear. I mean like… maybe I should be embarrassed about how public that was? But it was kind of fun. I’m definitely not embarrassed about theyoupart.”

“Kiera.” I stroked her lip with my thumb, bringing the nervous babble to a stop as she looked up at me with those big, doe eyes. “I’m not offended.”
