I sat there for a moment, and everything froze. Suki stopped moving, and I slowly raised my head, meeting her brown eyes.
“Hi,” I whispered, not knowing what else to say as I sat up.
Suki hissed in a breath, and her eyes fell to where we were joined.
“What?” She shook her head, then looked around. “What did?—”
Her eyes grew wide as they landed on me, and I knew everything was clicking into place. If nothing else, the restraints were a dead giveaway. Suki didn’t try to rip out of them but gave a decisive tug to note the extent of their give and strength.
“I’d like to start with I’m sorry.” I grimaced but didn’t move from where I was. Apparently, I wasn’t that sorry. “But given your profile…”
“You shouldn’t be.”
“What?”
“You shouldn’t be sorry.” Her lips parted in a languid smile.
Although I knew she was still under the pheromone’s effects, my heart skipped a beat, then I asked, just like she said, and our eyes locked as I spoke. “Oh, well then.” My lips parted intoa needy smile. “Suki, will you knot me and make this fucked-up Beta happy?”
Suki barked out a laugh, and I didn’t know if I should have been impressed or worried at the state she was in.
“You didn’t need to ask, Teddy. I’m yours to use. Take what you want.” She thrusted up, rubbing every inch of my tender insides. “Or I’ll make you.”

Suki
Afog coated my mind, and I couldn’t think clearly. The annoying scent of strawberry and vanilla surrounded me and drew out the heated part of me, but the scent under it, the one I wanted to claim as mine, was diminished.
My hands were tied and held above my head, and I didn’t know how I had gotten here, naked and bound, but I couldn’t focus enough to sort out the details. All I knew was I came here to help Teddy, but part of that was a lie, an unnecessary one at that. Where there should be irritation and anger, there was only chaotic laughter and awe.
Whoever she truly was, that was the person I wanted to know, not the Omega she had pretended to be. Designations never really mattered to me, finding comfort and joy with all of them at one point or another, although Omegas tended to gravitate toward me more often. But I had never fucked a Beta, even though I wasn’t against it. If she wanted a knot, then all she had to do was ask. I wouldn’t say no. I had no reason to.
The haze remained, growing huskier by the minute, but I wanted the scent to dissipate. I needed her scent, the real one. The lovely combination of lime and eucalyptus.
I leaned forward as far as I could, trying to bury my nose in the nape of her neck, but Teddy pulled back.
“Please, Teddy. Let me smell you. The real you.” My voice was deeper than normal, and the words came out husky and sluggish. “Please,” I begged again, hoping she would grant my request, even if I looked like a pitiful Alpha. I should be demanding and overbearing, but that wasn’t me, rut or not.
“Oh?” A sly smile graced her lips before she leaned down, pulling her hair to the side and baring her neck to me.
“You can have whatever you want, Suki,” she whispered, and I barely caught the words. A knot built inside my chest as the one on my cock pulsed and caused Teddy to hiss slightly, adjusting her hips to hover higher above me.
I lifted myself as far as I could, dragging my nose against her soft skin and taking in as much of her as I could.
The refreshing scent pushed the fog back, allowing me to think for a moment in this bubble of clarity. I smelled myself on her, and the combination was intoxicating. What would she smell like when I came inside her?
I grinned, my lips brushing against her neck. My tongue poked out, tasting her and groaning as I collapsed against the bed.
Teddy didn’t pull away but turned to look down at me, her unruly hair hanging to the side. Worry creased her features, and regret flashed over her eyes.

“None of that. I consented, and I still do.” I bucked my hips, shoving my cock back inside of her. Teddy groaned, and her body stiffened above me. “Or do you not want my knot anymore?”
The clarity brought on by her scent was vanishing, the fog of the Omega pheromones encroaching on my safe space.
