COURTLAND:Pixie.
PRODUCER:Yes. Florence Karlin is currently leading.(pause)Any thoughts on that?
FORSYTHE:That was predictable.
PRODUCER:Why?
FORSYTHE:She’s sincere.(measured)People respond to sincerity.
THAYER:And she doesn’t seem to perform for the camera. That reads as honesty, whether it is or not.
PRODUCER:Do you think the audience understands her?
THAYER:No.(A beat)But they think they do.
COURTLAND:She’s easy to root for. That’s dangerous on a show like this.
PRODUCER:Dangerous how?
COURTLAND:People get entitled. They decide what someonedeserves.
PRODUCER:Grieves? Any thoughts?
GRIEVES:I don’t like strangers weighing in on her life.
PRODUCER:Does the poll change anything for the pack?
FORSYTHE:No.The audience doesn’t make our decisions.
PRODUCER:And Florence?
FORSYTHE:(Pause)Florence will be fine.

Episode 19: Games Girls Play
The sun is shining bright, making me squint even as I turn my face up to it, basking in its warmth.
One thing I can say about Port Azure Resort and Spa is that the weather is excellent. Even during the off season like it is now. We don’t get consistently sunny days like this in Granton, and I am loving it.
The constant dose of vitamin D has done wonders for my disposition.
