“Let me see those brown eyes, Ryan.”

I slowly opened them, forced to stare into the depths of his eyes. He was so close to me.

“There’s my boy.”

His boy.

Russell’s words made me smile. No matter how fucked up I was, he still wanted me. I was good enough for this perfect man to want me. I was his. He brushed his thumb over the dimple on the left side of my face.

“I love you, Ryan. All of you.”

“I love you too,” I replied.

I’d been trying to give Russell more moments like this without me running away, disengaging, or emotionally checking out. I realized he needed things like this too, and for as much as he did for me, I needed to try to give him these moments where I was emotionally present.

“Let’s get ready to go,” he suggested and then kissed my lips again. “Your hands felt wonderful this morning, Ryan,” he reminded me. He kissed me again before he playfully slapped one of my thighs.

“Thanks for letting me spread cum all over your stomach,” I teased as we got out of bed.

“I’m delighted anytime your hands are on mine.”

We leisurely showered, got dressed, and packed. Since the drive was shorter today, we could take our time. After we checked out, we headed to our SUV with our luggage. Russell already had the engine running so it’d be warm for us. It was a little cool out, and the storms from yesterday still made the air feel heavy and damp. I was glad I had zipped up my jacket before he left the lobby because there was also a steady breeze blowing. At the back of the SUV, I quickly lifted my suitcase in and then hurried to pick Russell’s up before he could.

“Why, thank you, my boy. That was very kind of you.”

“You’re welcome. But I have ulterior motives by doing that,” I said and smiled.

“Oh?”

“I saw the golden arches yesterday near the gas station and convenience store we stopped at. I was hoping that since it’s close enough to lunchtime that we could stop there for food,” I proposed.

“As long as we eat inside and not in the car, you’re on.”

“Yeah!” I offered my fist for him to bump before I raced around to the passenger seat.

Just as I predicted, the inside of the SUV was warm. The seat warmers were on, and I instantly felt the warmth of the seat spread through my body. Russell messed with the screen on the dashboard for a few moments while I quickly sent a pic of Russell and me from yesterday to April and Kim.

“I’m going to stop and fill up the tank. We used up some while driving around the park,” Russell announced as he pulled into the same gas station we were at yesterday. “Go inside and get us some water for the drive while I fill up. Keep your jacket zipped.”

“Yes, sir!” I playfully saluted him and jogged into the convenience store.

Quickly, I grabbed a couple bottles of water and headed toward the counter. I eyed the snacks as I went.Oh, Cracker Jacks!I bet Russell would like these. He seems like a guy who would have liked them as a kid. I set the water, Cracker Jacks, Twizzlers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and a package of powdered donuts on the counter. When I glanced outside, I saw Russell getting into the SUV.Good, it’ll be warm when I get in.

“That’s a nice rig you got there,” the man behind the counter drawled as he rang up the snacks.

“Thanks.”

He gestured toward Russell’s SUV.

“I saw you and your daddy here yesterday too.”

Daddy?

“Oh?”

“I’m sure it was you guys. Black Mercedes G SUV. Vegas plates.” The man put the snacks and water in a plastic bag but kept looking outside at Russell’s SUV. “We don’t see too many Mercedes like that through these parts. We’re a side-of-the-road town.”

I started to feel awkward, so I downplayed the SUV.
