Shit.

“Good job, sister! You really know how to piss off your man!”Life says.

Sarah, you fucked up.

Bruno’s green eyes grow cold and stormy as he locks them with mine, “Go ask your fucking hero!” He shouts in my face and starts walking away from me.

Damn it, Sarah, you really screwed up big this time.

Dante walks behind me; I feel his accusing eyes on the back of my neck.

I speed up my steps as fast as the wound let me to be by his side, but he doesn't look at me, he keeps looking at the horizon.

“Bruno...” he ignores me. “Bruno, I didn't really think about it, it was all too fast, I didn’t have time to talk about money with him and—”

“It’s fine.” His voice sounds dead.

I slow down my pace letting him pull away in front of me and he walks straight up to a boat, not as damaged as the one we had used with the Frenchman, it looks like a fishing boat, but professional, at least it has a cabin, that means there is a roof, to protect us from the damn weather.

Bruno hops on the boat. He reaches out his hand to help me up, but he doesn't even look at me.

He's really upset.

This is going to be something I'm going to have to work on. I understand jealousy, I would probably be as jealous if I find out that a woman is as involved in Bruno's life as Rage is in mine, but I have to make him understand that I lovehim.

A man comes out of the booth, he has a white tunic and an improvised handkerchief on his head, he wipes his hands with a piece of dirty cloth and says, “Hi” waving his hand with a big smile.

I like him already.

Bruno approaches him, and they shake hands. They speak quickly and the man enters the booth again.

The big boat begins to vibrate; the engines are running.

Dante and Amira look around, not knowing what to do or where to sit.

Slowly but surely, I sit on floor, this wound is really killing me. They imitated me and we remained silent, watching the port become distant and small as we move forward.

Dante does not look back, but Amira does; she is saying goodbye to her land, to her family. This is how far her life in Arabia had come.

I hope.
