Bruno

Sarah is...everything I ever wanted.

Her beauty takes my breath away, her soul fills my proud chest and to end up knocking me out, my brother is the one who is giving her away to me.

Every time I’ll think of perfection, I'll think of this damn moment.

The judge begins with his boring and endless monologue. Can't he go straight to the question? This is going to end up killing me.

Sarah squeezes my hand, trying to give me some comfort, but it's impossible.

Finally, the question.

“Bruno, do you take Sarah Fitcher as—”

“Yes” I cut him off.

Sarah laughs at my agitation.

“As your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

“I do.”

She smiles at me.

“Sarah, do you—”

“I do...”

No need for the judge to give us permission, she's already buried in my arms and I kiss her madly and deeply while I hear claps from our family.

She is my wife.

“I never thought I would deserve a moment like this, thank you.” I whisper in her ear. “I am yours forever and I promise you I will make you happy every day.”

She smiles at me, still a little flushed.

“I love you.” She says with tears in her eyes.

She kisses me passionately, I can feel the moisture on our cheeks, even though everyone keeps cheering and applauding around us; it is just her and me, like it always was.

After all these years, after all our suffering and broken hearts, she’s finally mine, my wife.
