I relax into his touch, the kiss, my body melting against him and relaxing.

I trust him.

His hands graze over my hip and down between my thighs, spreading my legs for him.

His lips move down between my thighs, and I cover my mouth with my hand, being careful not to scream, trying to keep my moans tempered.

The bedroom door swings open without warning. “Nova, do you have a?—”

Harper’s eyes widen as she witnesses Ashton tongue-fucking me, and I hear the door slam abruptly shut behind her.

“Shit,” I gasp.

Thirteen

Ashton

I climb off Nova, grabbing my clothes and throwing my sweatpants on. “I’m sorry. I need to talk to her—stop her from telling Luca.”

I tear out of the room, chasing after Harper before she can reveal to Luca what she just witnessed.

I manage to catch her in the hallway. Her eyes are wide, she’s leaning against the wall, aghast. She’s probably still processing what she saw between us.

Harper glances up, seeing me, and opens her mouth. Before she has time to give me a tongue-lashing, I grab her and drag her back into Nova’s bedroom.

“What are you—” she asks, her words unfinished.

Harper is grinding her teeth, glaring at me as I open the bedroom door, and she relents and steps back into Nova’s bedroom. “Fine,” she grumbles at me.

Nova is buried under the sheets. Her clothes are still strewn across the floor.

Why didn’t she get dressed? At least she’s covered herself up.

I shut the door behind Harper, locking it long enough to make sure that no one else barges in.

“We need to talk,” I say, my gaze fixated on Harper.

She looks perplexed by what she saw. We can’t even pretend it wasn’t exactly what it looked like.

There’s no explanation for how naked Nova was and my tongue doing wild things to her.

Telling her we’re both in Biology together would not only be a lie but absolute insanity.

She’s not dumb enough to believe what we’re doing is studying.

“How long?” she asks.

I bend down and toss Nova’s clothes that are on the floor to her.

She slips her clothes back on under the bedsheets.

The fact that this isn’t the first instance should make no difference. We could lie and tell her we got caught up in the moment, but the fact remains that she cannot say a word about it.

“Does it matter? You can’t tell Luca,” I say, staring at Harper, silently begging her to not betray us.

“You can’t ask me to keep that kind of a secret from him.”

I step closer, towering over her. “It’s not your secret to tell.”
