“What? This’s the first I’ve heard of that,” Ash growls from the foot of my bed, massaging my calves through the blankets.

“What’s in the past is in the past,” Rowan says, waving his hand before flashing me a conspiratorial wink.

A mischievous smile tugs at my lips as I wink back at him. If he wants to keep that moment between the two of us, that’s fine with me.

“How long have I been asleep for?” I ask.

“A week and a half, Sweetheart,” Griffin says, fingering the braid someone must’ve put my hair in while I’ve been asleep.

“A week and a half too long, if you ask me,” Ash mutters.

Rage shifts, standing to his full height. “You’re... okay now?” He asks slowly, as if he’s scared to hear the answer.

“I definitely feel fine!”I glance past my mates to Reyna, who offers me a smile and a thumbs-up. “I’m okay, now, Rage. You don’t have to worry about me.”

“We’re going to leave you guys now,” Gwen whisper-yells from the doorway, grinning from ear to ear. “Seems like you guys should get some privacy!”

I blink at her, sitting up more in my bed. “What—what happens now, though?”

“Your mates already have your condo all set up for you,” Reyna explains. “It’s a separate unit just for the five of you on Omega Center grounds. First of its kind. But it’s all yours. They’ve been getting it ready for you all week.”

I turn my wide-eyed gaze to my mates who all offer me their own smiles or smirks and nods of confirmation.

“We’ve got an actual home to bring you home to now, Sugar,” Rowan says, squeezing my hand.

“We—we do?” I breathe out, losing the fight with the sting of tears behind my eyes.

“We do, Sweetheart. You don’t have to worry about a thing. We’re safe now.”

I burst into even more tears, but this time, all four of my mates are here to hold me together.

CHAPTER 56

Mirabelle

“YourMom!” I gasp, launching myself from the blanket cocoon of our new packbed into Rowan’s lap to shake his shoulders. “She’s alive? And we’re meeting her soon for dinner?”

“That’s not all,” Rowan says, wincing a little from the volume of my screeching.

“Not all? What more can there be!” I say, turning to the other guys who are all lounging lazily, watching me with fond smiles.

Our new place is perfect.

Absolutely, wonderfully, amazingly perfect.

Reyna said something on her way out of the Omega Center’s medical room, apologizing for how small it is, but this place is huge! Especially when compared to Rowan’s old trailer. It’s gotthreefloors!

The first has our kitchen, living room, and office area for us to do things? I’m not sure what things, just yet, but there’s plenty of space for all of us to spend time together!

The second floor is a massive bedroom for the entire pack and a bathroom and the third floor is a loft room that’s been turned into mynest!

It’s literally a dream come true.

“You guys have to tell me,” I say, glancing between all of them when they all stay silent.

“So, when everything went down, Rowan was actually arrested,” Griffin explains slowly.

“Like a fucking idiot,” Ash adds.
