"They were talking about it. Even with the door closed, I could hear what they were saying," Jamie tells me.

"Hmm. How could he have no idea?" I wonder aloud.

"He's a dumbass?" she quips.

"Well, that's a given," I reply with a laugh. "I was obvious. More than obvious about things for months."

Jamie nods. "You were. But he thinks you hate him."

I laugh. "If I were a mean sort, I'd torture him and let him believe I do, then turn the tables and come onto him."

"Don't do it. He's already confused enough."

I nod.

"I heard them talking about going to The Vault to party tonight," Jamie informs me.

"I wonder if Levi could get me in."

"Include me in that, and you better invite Shannon or she'll never forgive you," Jamie reminds me.

"I could never forget Shannon. She's an extension of myself when we go out. You sure you want to step into the danger zone?"

"Definitely. It's time for me to find a man and get laid. It's been way too long," she groans.

"If a one-nighter is what you're looking for, you're going to the right place."

"That's all I want. I'm not in the mood for love—just multiple orgasms."

I smirk when she wiggles her eyebrows.

"Did you just say multiple orgasms?" Debra from accounting asks.

Jamie grins. "I so did. I'm going to have them tonight with a beautiful stranger."

"You need to be careful. They could turn out to be a serial killer or something," Debra informs Jamie.

"You watch too many crime shows," Jamie retorts. "You should come along."

"I don't think Stewart would appreciate me going to a meat market to try to pick up a guy," Debra says, reminding Jamie of her husband of nine years.

"There is that. I always forget you're married. You're too beautiful for one man."

I pour myself some more coffee. The coffee in the break room isn't nearly as bad on this floor as it is on mine. I guess HR gets the shitty stuff. Lord knows there are no hot men to look at up there, though Mark does walk through quite a bit. He's nearly as good looking as Derrick—nearly. Derrick is all tall, dark, and delicious, whereas Mark is long, lean, and pretty. He's definitely a pretty boy and he knows it. Then there's Alex. He's all broad-shouldered, big, and beautiful with his caramel skin and full lips. Those three together are a formidable force for any woman's panties. I think just a look from all three would have panties dropping without a word.

"Have you seen Debra's husband?" I ask Jamie.

"No."

"Oh my. Debra, show her a photo of Stewart," I insist. Stewart reminds me of Ryan Reynolds. Who can resist a guy like that?

While they fawn over Stewart, I call Levi who assures me he can get us in—and he's coming, too.

I turn to them as break time ends. "It's all set. Tonight we party."
