“There you are, sweetie,” his mom says by way of greeting. She kisses his cheek.

“Hey mom, dad. This is Jillie.”

They both have huge smiles on their faces and I, no doubt, have an incredibly red blush on mine.

“It’s nice to meet you,” I say and offer my hand to his dad. He looks at it and continues to grin. He grabs my hand and pulls me into a hug.

“Welcome. I’m Len. We don’t shake hands here.”

His mom repeats the hug. Oh boy.

“I’m Andi. We’re happy to meet you, Jillie,” his mom says. “We were wondering when Leo was going to bring you around.”

Leo blushes a bit. “Mom.”

“What?” she asks. “We’ve heard a lot about you, Jillie, and wondered how long it would take our son to realize he was acting like a jerk.”

“I think I love your mom,” I tell Leo, and he laughs. “It took him long enough. I didn’t think he’d ever come around.”

His dad smirks. “I knew he would. He talked about you a lot. I’ve never seen Leo so frustrated with a girl.”

“Heck, I’ve never heard him mention any girl more than once,” his mom adds.

“Oh really,” I sing-song then look at Leo.

“Busted,” he admits.

“He tried hard to resist you,” his mom begins, “I can see why he failed.”

Now I blush.

“Party last night?” his dad asks.

Leo nods.

“Speaking of, who cleaned up the mess?” I ask. It wasn’t us, and I didn’t hear anyone.

“Everyone cleans up some when the party’s winding down, and I arrange to have a cleaning service come early the morning after,” Leo informs me.

“Smart.”

“What are your plans for today?” his mom asks.

I stare at his dad. “I know you from somewhere.”

His dad smiles again, and it hits me.

“You’re… you’re…thatLen Beckett?”

“Mhmm,” is all he says.

I smack Leo. “Why didn’t youtellme your dad was Len Beckett?”

Leo rubs the spot I smacked.

“I thought you knew.”

“How would I know that?” I ask, star struck. Len Beckett is a movie star. I mean, I noticed how good looking he was. I expected it with how hot Leo is, but daaaaang. He’s a movie star. He’s a model.
