My phone buzzes and I look down to find a text from Elan.
Elan:Are u ok?
Me:I’m fine. Just Ella being Ella.
Elan:I heard my name all the way up here.
Me:Don’t worry about it. I set her straight.
Elan:Are u sure?
Me:Positive. Get back to your date, Hottie E.
Elan:ok, Foxy J
“Elan?” Audrey asks.
I nod. “He said he could hear his name all the way up wherever it is he’s sitting.”
“Of course, he did. She made sure of it. She doesn’t like one ofourswith one ofhers, and, per her rules, he’s not good enough,” Isla reminds me.
I nod. “She better get used to it, because if she messes this up for Elan, I really will kick her bubble ass.”
