“Do I need to leave? This is sounding really kinky,” Audrey tells us, her eyes still closed as she soaks up the sun’s rays.
I snort.
Elan laughs.
“No plans for tonight?” I ask.
“Nope. Nothing going on.”
“Any decent movies playing?” I ask.
He shrugs. “I dunno. Let’s look.”
We find one that we both want to see, a thriller, and pick a time.
“Is this like a private date or can anyone join in?” Audrey asks.
Elan looks at me, clearly amused. “The more the merrier.”
I nod in agreement.
“Besides,” Audrey adds, “I really don’t feel like going to another party. I need a breather from the crowd.”
“But your boyfriend is part of that crowd,” I reply.
“He’s an exception.”
I just snicker.
I may have more reasons for not wanting to go to those parties than she does, but she just touched on one of the major ones. Looks like I really did get lucky when Audrey and Isla found me that day.
I’ve got some damn good friends.
