Once Shep was gone, Jayne fixed Caleb with a look that was equal parts love and trouble. “You chased him out on purpose, didn’t you?”

“Me?” Caleb batted his eyelashes. “I’m offended that you’d accuse me of such a thing. I’ll have you know that Shep chased himself out… not that I can say that I’m upset about it. If he’s grossed out by an innocent kiss, he’s going to puke the first time he catches me copping a feel.”

Everett came to join them, kneeling beside Caleb and Jayne. He took Caleb’s chin in hand. “I’m sorry to inform you that Jayne’s busy with another man right now. Until he’s done with Parker, you’re just going to have to settle for practicing with me.”

“Oh, is that so?” Caleb smirked. “Practicing?”

“Mmhm.”

“You keep holding me like that and I’m gonna knock you on your ass, you know that?” Caleb arched his brow and leaned forward, testing Everett’s limits. Everett kept him locked in place. “I don’t care how fancy your suit is, or if you’ll be late for work because you have to change.”

“Unlikely,” Everett said in the same flat tone of voice. It was a ruse, of course. Caleb saw the mischievous sparkle in his eyes. “You couldn’t knock me on my ass if you tried.”

“Is that so?”

“Yeah. You wanna test me, Alcrest?”

Oh, it wason.Caleb grabbed Everett’s shoulders and pushed, not enough to knock Everett on his ass, but just enough so that the threat was there. “It’s not going to be much of a test, Langston—I’m going to destroy you.”

“You can try.” Was that a hint of a Southern accent? Caleb narrowed his eyes, but before he could ask, Everett dropped his hold on his jaw and grabbed Caleb’s shoulders so they were evenly matched. “Don’t think I won’t, city boy. I’m not afraid of getting a little messy.”

“City boy?” With his head no longer restrained, Caleb darted forward and stole a kiss from Everett’s lips. “Call me city boy again and I’ll fuck you right here on the floor.”

Everett’s full lips quirked, and he cocked his head just slightly to the side. “City boy.”

It was a declaration of war.

Caleb tackled Everett, and they tumbled to the ground together. Even in his suit, Everett knew how to tussle, and he flipped them around and pinned Caleb to the floor before Caleb could get the best of him.

As soon as Caleb was pinned, Everett kissed him fiercely. Their teeth clacked, and Everett accidentally scored Caleb’s lip with his front teeth. The pain was only a momentary distraction—a second later, Everett’s tongue plundered Caleb’s mouth. Caleb gave up the fight and let himself be claimed.

Jayne cleared his throat. “While you two have no idea how much I’d like to sit around and watch while you have sex on the living room floor, I’m afraid the throbbing erection in my pants and the fact that I’m holding my son in my arms don’t mix.” Caleb heard him climb to his feet, but he couldn’t give Jayne his attention—Everett directed their kiss, and as Everett’s tongue traced along the flat tops of Caleb’s teeth, then pushed boldly into his mouth, he made it clear they weren’t anywhere near done. “I’m going to go ask Shep if he’ll babysit for an hour max. When I come back, both of you had still better be making out. Bonus points if someone’s fly is undone.”

With a small, pleased hum, Jayne headed from the room. Before his footsteps faded into nothing, Caleb heard him say to Parker, “Please be too young to remember any of that. I’m not that kind of doctor.”

It was only when Jayne was gone that Everett chose to end the kiss. He pulled back from Caleb, panting, and smoothed a hand through Caleb’s hair, pushing it back from his forehead. There were few things in the world that Caleb adored more than the sight of him like this—pink-tinged cheeks; glossy, kiss-swollen lips; and dark desire in his eyes that turned Everett from gorgeous to divine.

“Do you have enough time for a quickie?” Caleb asked once he was able to speak. “I know you need to get to work.”

“No, I don’t.” Everett smirked. “But I don’t care. I want you so fucking bad, Caleb. You and Jayne both.”

“And you have no idea how bad I want you.”

Caleb wasn’t sure who started their next kiss, but when it came down to it, it didn’t matter. Everett tangled his fingers in Caleb’s hair and tugged. Caleb growled into Everett’s mouth and flipped them over, taking his turn on top. Flies were toyed with. Zippers fell. The love between them grew.

Jayne had come into their lives, but he hadn’t diminished what they shared. He couldn’t. Caleb’s love for Everett couldn’t be stolen. And as they moved from the floor, to the bedroom, to sandwiching a heat-slicked Jayne as he gasped, moaned, and struggled to take both their cocks at once, Caleb proved it.

Again, and again, and again.

Everett

The large pizza box sitting on the leather passenger seat of the XJR was still warm to the touch when Everett went to pick it up. Dark grease disks of various sizes spotted the cardboard, and a streak of it had leached through to glisten on the upholstery. Everett winced, snagged a fast food napkin from the glove box, and dabbed it away. It would join the list of things that had happened to the car that he would never, ever tell Caleb, falling somewhere between the time Everett had almost scraped the rims on a cinder block left too close to a public parking space by careless contractors and the unfortunate exploding Big Mac incident. The mystery of the lone pickle Caleb had found beneath the gas pedal a month later would remain a mystery—perhaps the greatest of all time.

Pizza, Everett hoped, would absolve tonight’s tardiness. A quick glance at the time on the dash confirmed that he was half an hour late to work.

Half an hour, all things considered, wasn’t bad. For what Everett had gained from that half hour, he’d gladly accept whatever disciplinary actions came his way. After taking Jayne and Caleb to bed and having their fun, Everett had held back his knot and quickly cleaned up while Caleb and Jayne snuggled, their bodies locked together. While Everett had dressed, they’d given him a quick rundown of the day’s events.
